Wow slow play on a Sunday night due to over booking

Nice course - my first visit. Layout is interesting and has some great and varied holes. We played off blue tees, driving straight and long is required. Play this day was glacially slow. Markers told us groups ahead had been asked to speed up but waited on every tee and 2nd shot = 5 hours + round.

The course is very nice! Challenging but manageable. Staff was friendly.

Couple of issues detracted from an enjoyable start;

* The on line booking system did not work properly… I booked (& received a confirmation email) a 7:36 tee time. On arrival, I was informed we were 7:52! That was very annoying and there was no apology!

* the carts were absolutely soaked, had not been dried off at all and I had to ask for a towel (needed 3)

The course is in good shape. Yes, there are unrepaired ball marks and divots, but that's the fault of players, not the course. The staff are always friendly. The washroom facilities could be better, but they exist. The tee-off was 7:44 am, so there were no delays. Our group wasn't held up at any time nor were we holding up groups behind us. And even though there was plenty of rain the previous day, the course drains well and wasn't wet much at all. It was a great day to be golfing.

Overall, just mediocre for a couple reasons. Keep in mind this may not be relevant to some. I’ll get right to it, the gun range that runs behind the course is obnoxious. As I started the first it was mentioned we may hear gun shots from the range. Look, I actually enjoy guns, in licenses , so it’s not an anti gun rant. It was so loud and constant, extremely distracting if you want a quiet peaceful game if golf. For that reason alone it was overpriced and I’d avoid it for that nonsense.

The course itself is challenging , I loved the actual challenge of the course, super unforgiving which appealed to me.

Staff was amazing as well as grounds. At the end of the day I just hated the warzone It felt like I was playing in.

It’s been a few years since playing here.

On par price wise thru Golfnow.

Pleasantly surprised with the conditions of the course.

Love the rectangular tee boxes and large quick greens.

Would play again definitely !!

dragons fire is a great course, lots of tee blocks and variation of holes, pretty tight so beginners will have some difficulty its in great shape greens are swailley and most times quick

I play this course every week. Excellent condition. Challenging but fair (and big) greens. Would recommend to golfers of every skill level for a fun experience!!

We enjoyed playing Dragons Fire. Found the front 9 holes, quite similar, almost repetitive. The back nine is very enjoyable & the 17th hole has a couple of resident black swans which do a great job of keeping the geese away.

Awesome practice facility including range / greens and chipping and sand.

Group ahead were 10 min late but we weren’t allowed to tee-of even though we were ready to go at the first tee box. Each hole had 3 groups waiting. The golf carts are very comfortable and modern except they are the slowest I’ve ever rented !! Maybe increase the speed of the carts to quicken pace of play. Seriously management can do better than this. Very simple fix
