Cranberry Golf Course
About
Cranberry Golf Course was carved from the picturesque landscape of southern Georgian Bay and has the distinction of being Canada’s first Audubon Society-certified golf course. There is some slight undulation in the bent grass fairways but overall the terrain is flat, making it accessible for beginners since there are no dramatic elevation changes or severely uneven lies. The front nine has numerous water hazards and plays a bit longer than the back nine due to a handful of lengthy par 5s. Cranberry Golf Course's back nine plays shorter and dryer but there are difficult doglegs and several large, strategically placed sand traps. There are also grass bunkers and contouring around the greens for added challenge.

Cranberry golf resort
The staff was very friendly and attentive. The course is well maintained and the location of the flags were somewhat challenging. Looking forward to play it again.
Pleasant Suprise
Both my wife and I enjoyed the course. There was a fair amount of wait time, but surprisingly, we finished the round in 4 hours. The course was in great shape.
Very nice golf choice
I played this course twice during the weekdays this week when we were vacationing in Blue Mountain. Reservation were done using Golfnow and pretty straight forward. The price for two is reasonable and the course is in very good condition although there are some constructions near the course. First day, the course is a bit busy and the second day is quieter. We had a great time both days.
Slow pace
I found this course fine except for the slow play. I'm glad I paid through Golf now and received the Hot deal rate. Their regular rate a little pricey for the course.
Good resort course.
Extremely slow. There was a tournament & we had 4 guys in front of us who played slow. We were in a cart & took us 3.5 hrs to play 11 holes. We stooped at the 12th. Unfortunate.
A very good course for the money.
A moderately challenging, comfortable walking course. Good pace of play, slower on weekends. New paved cart paths are a plus. Reasonably well maintained, lack of rain and the heat this summer has dried out the off fairway areas. Very good value.
Good Value in Collingwood Area
The course as usual was somewhat wet in a few areas, not sure if from over watering in the heat or the low level of the land. Greens were pretty good. Tees could have been flatter especially the forward tees. Some better/added directional signage would help speed play. A good value in the area for a quality experience on a good course.
We are looking into some signage to assist with these areas. Thanks for the feedback.
Good experience
We enjoyed our round. Played with another couple who were very nice. Good pace - it's not always but was today. Makes sense to put two twosomes together. Speeds up play we think.
Great course
Hot day of golfing on a fantastic course. Lost some balls but fairways are cut low greens are consistent just all around great shape and very nice course. Every staff member we talked to even ones not working were extremely friendly. Will definetly go back
if like 6 hour rounds this is the place for you!
No reception at Bag Drop (why even have one?)
started off ok but then waited 25 minutes to tee off on the 6th hole and every shot thereafter was a wait.
Watching the group ahead take 3 practice swings for every shot and then hit it 10 yards was fun.
And the marshall came around and said it is slow today.
Ni kidding???
good but slow
First 9 took us over 3 hours but things sped up to about 2.5 hours last nine. Didn't see any marshalls until we asked the cart girl to call one. Other than a slow pace, good value for our golfnow money.
Water
The only reason I downgraded the course amenities is because there was no drinking water on the course except bottled water that needed to be purchased. I don't feel that a person should ever have to purchase water unless they chose to while golfing.
Several years ago virtually every course in Ontario stopped providing coolers of drinking water. I think someone got sick and the legal beagles said the liability was too great. Some of the better courses will give you a bottle of water at the start. Always best to bring your own.
Short course with furry greens
Really short course. Tee boxes have been combined on many holes. Greens are furry and slow and bumpy. The 19th hole has the best green.
Over all easy and fun course. Find a deal. Rack rates are too high for this course.
Awesome course.
I had a great time. If you have not played this course, you are missing out. Beautifully maintained and well kept. I would come back in a heartbeat
Forgiving course
Great course. Great for beginners and for a fun time. Fairways are long and wife and therefore very forgiving.
cranberrygolf
Nice course some of the holes are just too long even playing the forward tees? (driver 3-4 hybrid) It was pretty busy the day we played and we were paired with a couple of guys who were in a bit over their heads but with the pace of play it wasn't a big deal about 4:10 round?. Over all good day a day and I would recommend
Good Conditon
The course is well maintained but depending what time of the day you play it can be very slow. Some marshals do a great job keeping the pace up others are just there for the free golf.
great course to play in Collingwood area
mgmt working hard to really improve the course, evident by fully paved cart paths, levelling tee blocks. areas of concern: marshals need to actually do their job by getting players to move their game along as waits can be lengthy & frustrating, some tee blocks could do with some watering as ground is too hard to place tee.
love the layout, challenging due to narrow fairways
Nice Course
Nice shape, easy play not to many hills if any at all. Love the lay-out.
Really sorry to hear. I was working this day running voilunteer's and helping with the special olympics tournament. We did our best to send groups off ahead of this tournament to help with slow play. Was a marshal on the course to assist with this group in front? Wish i could have been more help. Usually our marshal do a great job with moving play. I hope you got a raincheck to come back for nine holes?
