About
Whitetail Golf Club enjoys a landscape of rolling hills covered with mature trees, creeks, and ponds. Originally opened as a short nine-hole course, the layout was transformed into an 18-hole championship design in 2004. The update added a level of challenge to an already playable golf course. The first five holes are new, as are the last four. The layout has tree-lined fairways that demand accuracy and there are two tricky carries over water on the opening hole and the 17th. Both of these are par 3s that feature significant greenside bunkering that will test the iron play of even the most seasoned golfers. Whitetail Golf Club's sixth and 14th are two par 4s from the original nine that are particularly memorable since they play much longer than the indicated yardage.

WOW !!!
The greens are beautiful...difficult to putt when not used to perfect greens. Such a pleasure to play on these greens.
Fairways were not burnt and are forgiving if there is an errant shot. Just be careful as there is poison ivy in the deeper rough....
Would recommend this course always....
Terrific value!
A bonus when we arrived, a Charity event ongoing which dramatically reduced the fees ($33 including cart). Thank you! The course is in great shape. The greens could have been cut, but with the heavy rain, perhaps they couldn't get on them. WT is not alone in this issue, but the hole locations should be changed daily. With the new ball lifts at some courses or the foam used at other courses, the players are damaging the edge of the holes, making lip outs very unfair and happening often.

Great Gem in the Valley
I love this course! it has its challenging holes and its relazing holes. The staff are ALWAYS lovely and easy to work with. We were behind a group of fairly new golfers (aka slow), but the marshall moved them along when required (much appreciated). The course hasn't suffered the extent of the drought and high temps you can see in Ottawa.

Right from the first T Box, the course conditions were excellent. Lush fairways and perfect greens. Looking forward to playing again soon!

Mostly great experience
Course is in great condition for this time of year! Very slow play because of one group ahead. Marshall did not make them play faster even though it was obviously a problem.

Whitetail
Loved the course, I am fair weather golfer and only play about once a week, Some of us found the course more challenging than others. I picked this course because 1 lady in our group said she wanted a challenge, wields this course did the job.

We drive up the Valley fro. Ottawa to play Whitetail 2-3 times a year. A real treat!
