About
Nestled in the heart of the Ottawa Valley, Renfrew Golf Club has a beautiful landscape of lush meadows and rolling hills covered with mature forests. It is one of the most scenic spots in the valley. Originally opened as a nine-hole golf course in 1929, Renfrew has long been known as one of the area's best courses, especially after the second nine was added. The layout features lightning fast greens that are large and undulating. Renfrew Golf Club's tricky fairways are quite hilly, which can make you feel like the hole is farther than it is. Golfers will face a variety of hazards including tall trees, strategically placed bunkers, and water hazards. Many of the tees are elevated, providing stunning views of the surrounding countryside and the Bonnechere River watershed.

New favorite course
I've always been told this a a hidden gem and boy is that and understatement. I've played a lot of courses in Ottawa and the Valley and this might be my new favorite. Its pretty challenging and I didn't play my best round, but between the elevation changes, you are always hitting uphill or down hill, and the views in general, especially in the fall this course is a 10/10. I will be a regular at Renfrew from now on.
challenging - severe rough
great day overall but playing conditions were severe. Club championship held weekend before and fairways were narrow & rough had been left uncut for over a week. Typical rough depth was 6-8 inches and very thick. Normal drives of 240 yds were about 200 yds if flying into the rough. Typical fairway width and rough for a US open..
Very Nice course
Very nice course! A lot of elevation change with some challenging holes. Tee boxes were all in good shape. Greens had been airrated but were all still in good condition. Fairways I thought needed to be cut. A little long for Fairways but all very green and in good condition. A lot of different holes as well great layout. The gentleman in the pro shop was welcoming and friendly. I usually walk but it was raining a bit so I got a cart and he only charged me 1/2 a cart as I was the only one riding. Most courses would charge full pop. Not sure if that is the norm there but very nice either way! I highly recommend and I will be back.
Club Championships were playing ahead of us. Turned out to be a 5 hour round.
Renfrew Golf Club course is in prime condition for this time of year!

Most picturesque course in the Ottawa area
Despite the lack of rain this summer, the course was in spectacular condition. The hilly terrain makes for truly stunning Vistas and very interesting course layout including some very exciting elevation changes and elevated greens. In addition, if you're brave enough to walk the course you get a superb workout, combining a rigorous hike with truly superb golf experience. This is among my top three favourite courses in the Ottawa area.
My favourite course. When I want to impress my friends I take them here. It’s absolutely gorgeous.
