About
Whitetail Golf Club enjoys a landscape of rolling hills covered with mature trees, creeks, and ponds. Originally opened as a short nine-hole course, the layout was transformed into an 18-hole championship design in 2004. The update added a level of challenge to an already playable golf course. The first five holes are new, as are the last four. The layout has tree-lined fairways that demand accuracy and there are two tricky carries over water on the opening hole and the 17th. Both of these are par 3s that feature significant greenside bunkering that will test the iron play of even the most seasoned golfers. Whitetail Golf Club's sixth and 14th are two par 4s from the original nine that are particularly memorable since they play much longer than the indicated yardage.

A gem of a course
Absolutely wonderful course. Even though it begins with a par 3.

True greens
Some tee boxes could use leveling and maintenance
Great track
The course always plays nicely. Good mix of holes for everyone. Risk rewards to be had out there.
Didnt get to finsh back 9 as I sprained my ankle looking for a friends ball off the fairway on #10.
Whitetail is great
Played early in the season. Greens were fine for this time of year. Pace of play was great——-walked the course in 3:10. Had a great time!

Staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately greens had been punched recently, which in retrospect given the time of year we should probably have anticipated, however lead to some unpredictable putts.
Pace of play was disappointing, 4 & half hours for a threesome, who always play "ready golf" but I respect that not all groups play the same way.
Regardless, I strongly encourage everyone to make the drive to WhiteTail to discover a hidden gem in the Ottawa valley - just not all at once!
Great course, very challenging.
The only drawback I had on the day was that it's very early to golf, so some of the course was soggy. Other than that, it's great value for the money. Will be back.
Best last round of the season
I received and email reminding that the course was open to my disbelief. My buddy and I booked a round and went out on one of the most perfect days for fall gold. Imaging playing golf on the 4th of November in Canada. The course was is good condition with the exception of the holes and part of the fairways that were plugged for aration. It didn't even matter about the score (which was good). It was a good fun round on a day that you hardly ever get to play golf.
