About
Whitetail Golf Club enjoys a landscape of rolling hills covered with mature trees, creeks, and ponds. Originally opened as a short nine-hole course, the layout was transformed into an 18-hole championship design in 2004. The update added a level of challenge to an already playable golf course. The first five holes are new, as are the last four. The layout has tree-lined fairways that demand accuracy and there are two tricky carries over water on the opening hole and the 17th. Both of these are par 3s that feature significant greenside bunkering that will test the iron play of even the most seasoned golfers. Whitetail Golf Club's sixth and 14th are two par 4s from the original nine that are particularly memorable since they play much longer than the indicated yardage.

Great course, but don't walk!
This is an excellent course, great variable layout through the forest. A great course, but a couple of things...
When we arrived I asked at the clubhouse if the course is walkable, and was told yes...maybe if I was 20. I'm over 50, and was golfing with a 70 year old. At the end of the round, a couple of people congratulated us on walking! So don't walk.
Excellent course worth the drive
My cofavourite course in the valley. Wonderful staff and conditions. Great layout with some easy and some hard holes. Greens are smooth and fast. My only criticism is that like basically all courses I've played, they need to force people to play together to improve pace of play. Too many 2somes playing when busy. But again, if you told me I'd get a free round at any public course anywhere in the valley, Whitetail would likely be my choice.
This course is the best
Immaculate conditions as always. We really enjoyed our round.
Whitetail golf course Eganville On
Fairways were well groomed. Staff was very friendly. Greens were air raided and fertilized but expected for that time again. Would definitely golf there in the future.
Awesome fall golf
Thrilled to be golfing during the pandemic and truly enjoyed the beautiful panoramic views on some of the holes.
Disappointing
Drove about 100 min from Ottawa to play this course because the reviews said it was in great shape.So we get there and all the greens had recently been punched and were terrible.Also the back 9 was closed for maintenance.I did book a hot deal so there was no need to ask for a refund and after driving that distance we were gonna play in any conditions.But Golfnow should’ve had an aeration alert and back 9 closure alert.Maybe the course didn’t notify GolfNow.But someone dropped the ball.Nice course other than the sandy bumpy greens.
We’ll worth the drive from Kanata
We had heard a lot of good things about Whitetail and finally got the chance to play it. It is now one of our favourite courses in the Ottawa valley. We had just come back from Mt Tremblant and this rivalled some of the courses we played up there - but for a lot less. We’ll definitely be back!!!
