Royal Woodbine Golf Club

The only issue we had was no half way house open. No one said it was closed, could not get a drink or food until finished. It would have been nice to be told upfront. Did wait for 10 mins at club house to get a beverage but no one was available to serve us. A baby shower or some kind of function was going on.This course should be priced at $75 on high and $60 as value.

A bit of work being done on the course so there were a few trenches on the course but seen as improvements coming.

The course could be a very enjoyable day but for the awful pace of play . The marshals need to do their job ! It was awful

course is in tough shape , has gone downhill since I was there 3 years ago , not worth the money they want

I was surprised to learn after booking that 2nd hole was closed from work. There was also a 2ft wide patch dug out of the 3rd that ran about 60yards and in front of the green.

Definitely understand spring golf situations, but no price break and it's already mid may makes this disappointing.

A good course to play if distance has to be close within the city while want some good challenges and fun!

I live 20 minutes away, so I play here often. Great and difficult layout. Well-groomed in full season, but rough in the early season (it's April after all). Not long (6400 from the tips), but you'll use every club. Some easier holes, but many will test your mettle. Low-flying, huge planes are part of the charm. Hackers need not apply. Hit it pure here or bring a lot of balls. I wouldn't pay full price here, but there are plenty of deals.

I let a friend know that i was going to play this course, the first thing out of his mouth was bring extra golfballs. This is a very nice course with a great view ,the greens and fairways are very well maintained.The only bad thing i can say about our day the booklet we were given at the starters booth we were told it had coupons in it, well those coupons expired last year just to let you know thank you for a great day .

Nice layout... Very scenic... Green were a little slow..but overall good course..

Great deal combined with awards coupon...course conditions were good considering lateness in the year (frost delay)...sand traps were not groomed properly...air traffic can be disturbing

The course has a very challenging design with water on 17 holes, which makes it a good tactical and strategic course. However, I was dissapointed with the poor conditions of the fairways and greens, it seems that arranging your divots and repairing pitch marks on the greens have been forgotten from the golf etiquette for other players.

There is no enforcement or remainder of those to players entering the course by the team at the Pro-shop and neither by the whole team of Marshalls around the course ensuring the pace of play.

One additional thing, a GPS on the golf carts or if not possible because of the cost, just go back to printing some Course Guides as they are extremely valuable on this challenging course.

Slow place of play, especially a late afternoon round, was not enforced at all.

Players assistants/course marshalls were not doing their job trying to move along the round in an appropriate manner.

There were novices with ball retrievers more concerned with finding balls then golfing.

Horrible experience.

Started the round at 2:45 and at least expected to be very close to finishing the round. Only got 14 holes in.

Gold tee setups were challenging with blind tees. Yardage book would be nice. It was an interesting track with an abundance of noise from low flying airplanes. Pace of play was ridiculous. Marshalls are not golfers and don't know what they are doing. Highly ineffective.

I took a customer to play on the weekend, which is what he preferred. We chose this course due to the convenient location since we are coming from opposite sides of the GTA. The course is always in good shape but I did find some of the tee decks to be in rough shape. Unlevel lies and some divots that were not replaced. The course gives challenge to all levels as club selection and accuracy is very important. Only a few holes where there is enough room to grip it and rip it. Fair challenge and I wish I played better from tee to green. The overall value is fair for the location but there are better deals out there given the course beauty and conditions.

This is a poorly designed course built on wasteland adjacent to the airport. The course was not well maintained, abandoned golf carts left on course.

There was no GPS, minimal info on scorecard and no diagrams on sign at tees. This course is Nirvana for those who scavenge lost golf balls.

Tight layout had us dodging balls from other fairways on several holes.

Do your self a favour a play Lakeview or another public course. Even at $65 (special) it is overpriced.

If you are intent on spending over $100 drive up to Copper Creek and play a decent course for $125 on weekends

This is not an elite course by any means. Reminded me of Banty's Roost 25 years ago.

Staff was friendly enough but I would not play this course again.

Conveniently located by Pearson airport and close to the downtown core Royal Woodbine G.C. is a great round for locals as well as golfers visiting Toronto.

The track is challenging with water coming in to play on almost every hole. Respect the creek otherwise expect to lose multiple strokes. The key is to account for the "carry" so take less club if needed, as aggressive players will be rolling into the creek all day. The 18th hole is definitely the most difficult hole, Par is certainly a good score.

The staff has done a marvellous job keeping the course in wonderful shape, the fairways and greens are in immaculate repair given the lack of rain this year. Low flying planes are a bit of a distraction especially on the last few holes, but I guess that's the price you pay for having a course located in the city.

Pace of play was wonderful as we golfed on a Monday morning. Amenities are pleasing with a modern twist, and daily specials are the norm. Green fees are fair given the convenient location.

I was a walk-on and was joined with two visitors to Toronto. Nice company and great staff. Greens were in good shape and pace of play was excellent. Nima, our server on the patio, was wonderful and she completed a great day at Woodbine.
