Located only minutes away from downtown Hamilton and offering a spectacular view of the city, Chedoke Golf Club features two 18-hole championship golf courses. The par-70 Martin Course was built in 1896 and was the original Hamilton Golf & Country Club before it was relocated to Ancaster. It plays 5, 745 yards from the championship tees.

great course
Course in great shape, friendly people. What better way to spend the day
rain check .
Got rained out so got 11 holes in.. But received a rain check. Played Martin. A bit hilly no water hazards..Not many bunkers either. So not difficult. Greens were in good shape.
Fun Public course
Enjoy the course , but they need to have a marshal to keep place of play going. Took 3 hours to play 9 holes, one group was 3 holes behind the group a head of them.
COVID Restrictions
On course washroom facilities closed made it a bit uncomfortable however halfway house and clubhouse washrooms available. Although I’ve played here for years absence of fairway yardage markers made it difficult for some first time visitors..
Overall a 5 rating for course condition, layout and pace of play, very picturesque golf course loving playing here.

Went well
Lots of golfers but moved well. We played in 4hrs and 15 minutes. Fairways were reduced in size by lazy greens keepers. They didn’t cut over 40% of the actual fairway. This slows play. Cut out about 30 yards on both sides of the fairway.
Great value!
Played here once before. Pretty wide open…too bad the hikers don’t pay much attention!
Beautiful scenery, hilly course
Always enjoy playing Chedoke Martin. The escarpment is a beautiful backdrop and it is a good value for the price. Fairways were a little on the long side today -- even lost a ball on a drive that was right down the middle! Definitely take a cart unless you are a fan of walking lots of hills.
