Should be cheaper for what you have to put up with...
So first of all I would like to say I actually like the course itself both the Martin and the Bedoe. That being said the Martin is a joke. Firstly parking is a nightmare where more than 50% of the parked cars are joggers and that’s being generous which is ridicules considering I have payed good money to play golf here which should accommodate my parking needs. Secondly the Martin has far too many people on the course who are not playing golf and should be much more mindful that people once again have payed good money to be actually playing. So many trails that run through the course for joggers that I would suggest to anyone not to play here unless they are getting themselves a large discount on the price of the golf itself. Then there are the marshals, I have no problem with the marshals enforcing pace of play but to Come up to us and hassle us about pace of play when literally every time we get to the next tee box not only are we waiting for people to tee off but the people Infront of us are waiting for people to get off the green. I understand the marshals have a Job but we are not the problem and do not need to be told anything thank you... Under these current conditions I would say that the Martin 18 hole is worth about $30 with a cart and not a penny more and I will tell this to anyone who inquires.
Decent Course
Played this course Sunday at 1115 on a long weekend. Pace of play was decent. The fairways are narrow and surrounded by trees so expect plenty of hackers and constantly hearing fore everytime you take your shot. Some challenging holes, with many uphill and download shots. Overall, decent course to get a full 18 hole experience if you're nee to the course and decent if you want a challenge hitting straight shots. Greens were in decent shape, fairways could use some maintenance.
Okay Course
Okay course for the price.
- Tee boxes need to be better taken care of
- Fairways are very close to each other
- Greens and fairways were decent
- NOTE - No driving range, and small chipping and putting practice area (max 3 people at a time)
Cheap but poor conditioning.
Many greens were pock marked and bumpy. About half of the tee boxes were chewed up or just plain dirt. Bunkers have almost no sand. Fairways were O.K. some bare and brown spots. For $18 you get what you pay for.
Nice Public Course
We always enjoy our rounds here and it is so convenient to get to off the 403.
They could use some signage as, for several holes,, it is not clear where the next tee box is (including crossing a fairway).
Nonetheless ... we’ll be back.
Cart rentals
Outrageous prices for cars everywhere else is $20 per cart their price is $18 per person that's $72 for 2 carts for 4 people course design sucked balls from other holes come flying @ u all of the time very dry course lots of hills and crevices not a friendly course
First and Last Time
First off I’d like to say the staff at the starter tent were absolutely amazing, very friendly and extremely welcoming! As for the rest of the course,: the layout of the holes is very confusing! We likely spent 30 minutes throughout our round wondering where the next t- block was! Fairways had tons of un-repaired divot and were like concrete in most places! My wife actually hurt her wrist on a shot she hit heavy!, The rough was so long in some places if you hit into it you lost your ball. The greens seemed like they hadn’t been mowed in days and were extremely bumpy. Impossible to hit a good put if your life depended on it! Never interacted with the cart girl but I’m sure she was awesome as they usually are!
We were really looking for a better experience here and we left disappointed!
