Tees and greens
Tees and greens are in a poor state. Nice enough layout. Old course and shows in lack of length.
If greens were well maintained and cut it would make a huge difference
Decent course, HORRIBLE layout
We played the Martin course for the first time today. We usually play the Beddoe. I would definitely recommend the Beddoe over Martin. Course was in decent condition and pace of play was good. But it is so very poorly labeled. We got lost on about 6-7 holes where we didn’t know where to go for the next hole. And we weren’t the only ones. We had to tell a few groups behind us which way to go. One hole we had to go thru a forest and across a fairway from a different hole and NOT A SINGLE sign to guide the way. We just drove is circles until a we found it. A few additional signs Would go a LONG way on the course. Other than that, it was average to good overall. Very hilly so does make it a bit more challenging, but we were ok with that.
9 holes at Chedoke
Three of us played this course for the first time.
We walked. Next time I would recommend a cart as it is somewhat hilly. Course is in reasonable shape. Very few flat lies on the course, thus a challenge. Greens were very good. Good spread between groups. We had to wait a few times for the foursome in front to complete a hole.
Nice day, beautiful scenery, pleasant staff, good kitchen and cold beer.
Needs to be cheaper to match its value.
-Poor tee boxes.
-Poor layout.
-Bumpy fairways.
-Greens were decent.
-Needs a lot of work but nobody working
on the course.
-Plenty of marshalls driving around.
-Needs to be much cheaper for a municipal course if you’re goal is to grow the game in your city. If it’s simply to take as much money as you can from your residents, keep up the good work.
18 holes for 4
Great course, lots of long Par 4 and 5 holes, well maintained. Great value for money, as we got our round through GolfNow. Green fees were very reasonable. The cart however cost us more then our round of golf.
Would return with the intention to play 9 holes and walk.
Not friendly staff!
The course is fine but we had a bad experience with the check-in woman, she was very aggressive and arrogant.
Pre-book a power cart!
First time playing this course. We really enjoyed it and it was quite a hike! We have two issues:
- we weren’t aware that we needed to pre-book and pay for a power cart
- be careful of people on the trail walking in front of your tee shot; sadly they don’t wait or look before crossing in front of you!
We also wish we knew which course we were playing when we booked.
The Martin
was very cool day. little slow due to slow pace of 4some in front of us.
some nice wide fairways that i continue to miss and greens were good condition and fairly quick.
a busy course having to drive across a running path and an active hole.
260 par 3 is very long but the 250 par fours make up for that
Passable Public Course
The Martin course at Chedoke was a moderately challenging and fairly well-kept course. The only downside was the overly pushy marshal who (for the first time in my golf career) offered swing tips to my partner who was new to the game. This was incredibly unprofessional and didn't happen the one time. Also on the back 9 there's a par 3 that has a public walking path in the MIDDLE OF THE FAIRWAY. Please exercise caution when playing this hole.
