Awesome Muni
Played here for the fifth time the other day. Course is in excellent condition side from a few tee boxes. The course layout allows you to use every club in the bag while keeping it fun and challenging. Favorable tees for women and child players. Looking forward to playing here again in the fall.
It’s Only Gotten Better
I played here a week ago and found the front nine very dry, well a week later and some rain and it was great. This is one of the best layouts in the province. I was told that it was designed in mind of hosting the Canadian Open and I can see it.
The only negative is in being it’s a municipal course the overall maintenance is lacking in some areas. The tee boxes are fairly flat but chewed up and the traps need work and regular maintenance. Besides those things I wouldn’t change a thing.
I’ll definitely go back!
Sub 4hr
Course was in great shape, some tee boxes need attention. And people PLEASE fix your ball marks on the greens…
Bad attitude
Swing that it’s a city course, I guess the staff don’t care. It’s sad that the course is great, and it’s kept fairly well. The staff need to change there attitude.
Great value for money.
Played twilight and still finished 18. Great value even at full rate.
Kings Forest golf
First time back since Covid. Course is in great shape Covid protocols are good. Pace of play was excellent and only started to slow a little by the 14th hole. Greens are good and fast people are good at repairing their divots on the greens so that is a big plus. Marshalls are pleasant and keep the pace well. Started at 12:30 and finished round by 16:15.
I will be back for a round in the fall when the fall colours are out as this course is brilliant then
Well There’s Good and Not So Good
I was really looking forward to playing Kings Forest, heard very good things about it and I’ll definitely return. The track is great! Love the varying elevations, layout, hazard locations, everything!! The employees were very welcoming and friendly. The cost reasonable to me.
Now for the negatives. It is a municipal course, the overall upkeep just isn’t there. The tee boxes are very chewed up with weeds on many. One had a HUGE large bump in the center, the worse I’ve seen.
The front nine was very under watered and the front 9 greens sketchy in areas. Now the back nine seemed like a different course, well watered and the greens were much better. The sand traps were disappointing, better than some courses but a far cry from higher end courses.
Overall a very good experience and will definitely return.
