Dating back to 1973, King's Forest Golf Course in Hamilton is among the top public golf courses in Ontario. The conditions are top-notch especially for a municipal course, and Ontario Golf Magazine has recognized King's Forest as a "Hidden Gem." King's Forest has hosted the Canadian Junior Golf Association Ontario finals, the Ontario Men's Amateur Championship Qualifier and the Ontario Men's Amateur Championship.

Condition of golf course.
We found the fairways dry and slightly brown. The golf course was very dry and hard. The tee blocks were very bare of grass. The greens were in good shape but hard.
Disappointed, always loved this course
Alrhough I have always loved this course I got stuck behind the slowest moving threesome ever, took over 5 hours to play and no marshalls on the course to speed things up. Unfortunately the greens were all chewed up by inconsiderate golfers who don't know how to lift their feet while walking and have basically ruined what are otherwise beautiful greens. Very disappointing
Nice City Run Course
Nice layout included a few elevated tees that make a fun round. Greens were superb. Bunkers have a very hard and dark sand. With only 10 min intervals, there are a few bottleneck areas that were frustrating on a busy Saturday. Would like to return on a quieter day, however I hear that is rare here.

Course is in great shape, just need people to fix their ball marks!!!
nice course first time -
most of traffic stayed away because of sprinkles - let up after around hole 6 - nice round with a random partner - nobody in front and nobody behind - wish my score was better tho.
I have a policy of fixing three ball marks in Evergreen but if people knew the etiquette I wouldn’t have to
