What a pleasant surprise of this city course!!
This city course It’s really far from me but me and my golfing buddies will be back in the summer time!! It’s definitely worth the 90 mins drive!!
No carts Unable to play
I reserved carts for play and when I arrived after driving an hour to the course i was told they had no power carts, when i asked if they had push carts they said they only had one. Had I received a call the day before i would have either cancelled my time or taken my own push cart. We were unable to play due to this and they did not offer us a refund they said we had to go through golf now. I have tried several times to contact
Golf now and have been unsuccessful at trying to get a refund. I will never use the site again.
Thankful they were open
After all the rain we’ve had I was thankful they were even open and the conditions were about as good as one could expect. Greens were actually in great condition.
great track
course was unplayable, too wet, no carts, so wet that even pull carts where damaging the turf.
Too wet to play
We had a round on Oct.24, Sunday.
Weather was dry and around 12c and no wind.,perfect Sunday afternoon weather..
Course was too wet to play and even though I was told previous to booking no power carts allowed ,did not even guess how wet the course was.
We we losing balls hit to fairway because it was stuck to the ground. Greens were also in terrible shape very bumpy and wet.
Overall we regret paying what we paid to play a course that was unplayable.
A little disappointed (this time)
Generally King's Forest is one of my favourite local courses. Today, unfortunately, that was not the case. The course was far too wet to allow players on. I did, however, receive a call prior to my tee time to inform me that carts would not be allowed, due to course conditions. We had planned on walking anyway. After checking in the starter informed us that the course was, "a little soggy in spots." It would have been more appropriate to say the course was unplayable. There were several *new* water hazards (lol) and your feet would sink with every step taken. Our push cart wheels were leaving huge grooves in the course and had to be picked up several times or risk getting stuck. If you hit a high ball, it was embedded. If you hit a low ball, it would leave a wake in its path. No roll whatsoever.
Anyway, this doesn't change the fact that this course is great...just suggesting you pick a tee time on a day that it hasn't recently rained.
super wet
Fairways are the worst I've ever seen like they haven't been cut in weeks, because of wet conditions made it even worse ever swing from so called fairway was like hitting out of slushy mess of grass . Yet they still charged full price to walk appalling just cut grass it might help Lol
I can never understand the negativity of some reviews on tje staff, they've always been friendly and helpful. I guess people haveto blame someone for their poor golf.
was a crappy rainy day that rained us out before completing 9
really like the course. very pretty and normally in good condition. greens were just aerated. touch putting
