Great course!!
Loved this course was challanging but fun. The elevated tees were great to hit from. The course was well maintained from fairways to bunkers and greens. Will definitely go back again before the season is over.
Didn’t meet expectations
Was really looking forward to playing this course. We started ten minutes late. Saw two groups of two go off ahead of us. The one group of two was so slow that we were standing on the tee box for 5 minutes and the group behind us joined us. Watched the golfer top 5 shots and not pick up to keep page of play. There was also no marshall’s on the course to keep pace of play up. The drink cart went in as we were going out (4:20 pm on a Friday). The staff was friendly and the course shape wasn’t ok but we only got 15 holes in before it went dark due to the aforementioned. Will likely seek to play elsewhere next time unfortunately.
A Gem in the Hammer!!
Living in the Hamilton area for years I'm so disappointed this was my first time playing Kings Forest!! Reason being, it's a touch pricy. Ended up getting a morning tee time for $60 cart and taxes included and it was worth every penny!! All cart paths are paved, course lay out and condition are phenomenal! Beautiful intermediate cuts on the fairways and around all greens, which too are in great shape! Four separate tee boxes on all holes, course has beautiful elevated tee shots looking over the escarpment on a few holes, beautiful mature tree lined fairways and the pace of play was great, didn't wait for one shot until the 18th tee box! I've played approximately 30 courses in the southern Ontario region and all things considered, this track takes the cake! Keep up the good work City of Hamilton!!
Great course
First time playing this course. Heard lots of great things, and it’s all true. Great layout, well maintained, friendly staff. Will definitely play this course again. A really great day.
This course is challenging but fun to play.
It's been awhile since we played here, I remember how challenging it was. The pace was good, course was in great shape. Too two of the foursome didn't enjoyed the course but I would want to play it again.
Great calue
Good course I’d absolutely recommend it to someone else. Very scenic and very challenging
You have to use all your clubs on this course, which is good, especially on the tees
There seemed to be a fair amount of moisture on the course...probably due to storms in the area prior to playing...greens seemed very fast at first than seemed to be much slower than they looked and putting came up short many times...course was in great shape and always a challenge...better layout and quality than some private courses that I have played on. Great track and a nice pace of play...not rushed at all.
Absolute Gem of a Golf Course
Very enjoyable course with 18 well designed and challenging holes. Plays over 6700 yards from the blue tees. Some tee shots are tight due to trees, some of which could use a trim. Greens a bit slow but we had a lot of rain in the last couple of days. Course is generally well maintained but footprints in bunkers and ball marks on the greens is a problem. Overall, well worth a visit and great value for money.
Course Made for Kings
Beautiful scenery and course layout. Greens and fairways in very good condition. It was busy for a Sunday .. and so it should be given that it is a great course !
Great course
You can’t beat Kings Forest. The course is nestled into the escarpment and is in great shape. It is extremely challenging and will test every players skill level. The staff in the pro shop and restaurant are fantastic. Good is very good
Can’t say enough good things about this track
Still a great track !
The course was in good condition even though we have had a significant dry spell. Greens were a bit slow but in excellent condition. Rough was pretty dried out from the lack of rain so easier to play. I hadn't played it in quite sometime. It is still a great track and one of the best public courses out there for the money.
Slow as Molasses
Brutal pace. No marshalls. Quit after 12 holes.
Won’t be back soon.
I Love the World Cup
The final made for an empty golf course. Fantastic.
The rough is far less punishing than weeks past. We need some rain soon.
The staff today were exceptional. Pleasant, friendly, prompt and all in good humor.
The course was as fun as always. I love it here!
Beautiful golf course
Just played Kings Forest and I found the course to be in spectacular condition. The fairways were a little brown which is understandable given the hot weather. The greens were in excellent shape and were soft and receptive to good shots. They rolled extremely true and were tricky to read with subtle breaks. This is a great golf course with scenic views and elevation changes. You need to hit lots of good shots to score well here.
Heat wave taking its toll
Rough is drying up. Far less punishing than 5 weeks ago. Greens and fairways are still great.
Always a treat to play here.
