Dating back to 1973, King's Forest Golf Course in Hamilton is among the top public golf courses in Ontario. The conditions are top-notch especially for a municipal course, and Ontario Golf Magazine has recognized King's Forest as a "Hidden Gem." King's Forest has hosted the Canadian Junior Golf Association Ontario finals, the Ontario Men's Amateur Championship Qualifier and the Ontario Men's Amateur Championship.

Beautiful course
Gotta remember where the escarpment is - ball breaks away from it on the greens.
Frost delay
There was no effort to relay a 90 minute frost delay. Very little concern from the staff when asked why. Other courses send an email to those who have booked online. The outside staff did a good job of getting everyone out.
Fairways and tee boxes were ok but the greens were slow. Strange rating a 422 yd hole is a par 4 and a 426 yd hole is a par 5.
Beautiful course
Very well maintained.
Excellent course layout.
Lives up to its reputation.
Well worth the over an hour drive from Toronto.
3.5 Stars
The greens were quite slow although very consistent. Some of the fairways were marginal and the tee boxes had no seed or divot soil. The day I played there was no restaurant open.
slow play
Nice course, greens in decent shape, some good tough long holes. Greens were hard to get used to how slow they were, only thing slower was the pace of place. I've seen molasses move faster. Shame as a good course but even for Ontario pace of play was slow, over 5 hrs for a round. Could easily be. 4 plus star if they got people playing faster.
ProGolf
The Forest is always a joy to play .. no tricks just a wonderful layout along the escarpment with great views and bubbling streams. The tees and greens were in great shape considering the traffic and tough weather conditions. Looking forward to our next trip around these beautiful fairways.
Nice layout with some picturesque holes
The course is nice for a muni course. There was matchplay between 2 clubs so was a slow round but still finished under 5 hours
