Punched greens
I hate paying full price when greens are punched.
Pricey for a town run course.
Disappointing
Two fivesomes in front of us made for a very slow game. Marshal drove up behind the green as we were on approach and then tried to say I should've called fore but he was behind cover and only emerged as the ball landed and he didn't care to ask the fivesome in front of us to turn down their music.
No refreshment cart.
Great course
Kings Forest has always been a challenging and beautiful course. However this time the conditions were fair to say the least. The Fairways were starting to dry out and the tee boxes were sparse and quite hard. The pace was quite slow and the marshals were not doing their job in making sure the pace of play was as expected. As a matter of fact we saw a marshal “hawking” for lost balls rather than ensuring appropriate pace of play.
Great coarse.
Love the layout very difficult for beginner golfers lucky lm not a beginner.
Great condition! Well done KF team
The course is in excellent condition. I was a member here years back. I played here this past spring and the course was more along the lines of chedoke (not an impressive course) keeping in mind early in the season (to be expected early in the season). I played again on August 17 and it was a completely new course in terms of how well maintained it was from previous visit. Very well done Kings forest team. Great time and will be back!
Great shape
The course was in better shape than usual as they held their club championship just prior to our round. Second cut was a bit too long. Lost balls when I shouldn’t have, but it’s understandable given the tournament.
Highly recommend Kings. The signature hole is incredible, greens were running great and tee boxes were well kept.
Playing again in a couple days, hope to find some of my balls
Challenging Course
This golf course will penalize you for veering wide of the fairway. The rough was particularly long and challenging, even more so than usual according to my partner, who had played there before. The club championship tournament occurred earlier in the day, so the rough conditions may have been related to that. Some beautiful picturesque holes as you play along the Niagara escarpment, as well as some beautifully elevated tee boxes. Would also strongly suggest a cart, as there are significant elevation changes.
Rude and Ignorant Starter
Keep this simple, nice course and loved our day out playing with two other members who were great guys! However, your starter was as rude and ignorant as one can be, after asking very politely a simple question he retorted “I don’t care” ? - he said this a few more times as we headed to tee one. This man should not be around the public…………hope someone looks into this for others sake?
Kings Forest Golf ⛳️
Great day, played with a couple members who were super to hang with. Biggest complaint was the starter was extremely rude and ignorant while making no apologies for his behavior? We did nothing to deserve this other than asking a couple basic questions such as where can we get a scorecard? This guy shouldn’t be around people!
Hidden gem!
Great course for the price. Challenging, in good condition, friendly people, pace was nice. The rough was thick when we played and made it tough for us below average golfers to get out of, and we questioned whether there would be a cart person or not after not seeing one on the front 9. There was a snack/drink hut at the turn and the woman who helped us was great. We did see a cart person on the 15th hole I think but that was it, which was surprising given how hot it was that day.
All in all, it was an awesome day of golf and we'd all go back for sure. I try to get there at least once or twice a summer.
