King's Forest Golf Course

About
Dating back to 1973, King's Forest Golf Course in Hamilton is among the top public golf courses in Ontario. The conditions are top-notch especially for a municipal course, and Ontario Golf Magazine has recognized King's Forest as a "Hidden Gem." Great public course! Chipping & putting practice areas very good
Slow place of play was due to inconsiderate members playing ahead of us!
There were open holes in front of them & they wouldn’t offer to let us play through
No Marshall on the course to assist
Overall a great course for the money!
Rolly Review
Unfortunately due to October & weather there was no beer cart or half way house (food / drinks) open but understandable.
On a positive note fairways were very clean of leaves and clutter making finding our balls easy.
Great layout
King’s Forest has long been one of my favourite local courses. I try to play it at least once a year. It has a great layout with many challenging holes. Its signature hole 11 is one of the most picturesque and around.
Great layout
Kings Forest is one of the best and toughest courses in the Hamilton area.
Course landscape is wonderful. You can see wild animals like deers at hole 14 & 15. Green is too sandy and slow.
Mediocre at best
Bad tee time scheduling
Terrible greens (already winterized)
Fairways bad shape ( lot of patchy areas)
Tee boxes need work for sure.
Disappointed 4 some. Greens were in poor condition
Very disappointed in the conditions of the greens. The course did not tell us they had been recently aerated and the holes had bad edges. Looks to be old holes. The ball did not roll true. Too many bumps. Had we known when I booked the time, I probably wouldn't of booked.
Great classic layout never disappoints
Challenging, picturesque course (amazing when compared to area municipal tracks including Toronto). Pace of play was great (finished in 4). Great to see a proper set-up from the Whites at over 6000...enough long par 4 holes (+350-420 yd) to keep your scorecard honest. Greens looked like they were punched within the week, but still ran true. Hope to return soon.
Best to play in Fall with all the colours.
Fairway hard as a rock. Very hot, yet no give.
Challenging course
Some great holes. There are many challenging holes as it is a tight course. Straight drives are key.
