Scenic Woods Golf and Country Club

Was great until 11th hole when someone came up behind us and made a very close shot without warning!! Watch out on this blind hole, ball landed on green while we were putting

would play it again,for this price but not much more.

Scenic Woods is a much more difficult course than from what I remembered it 15 years ago.

The course offers many challenges by being extremely firm, heavily fescue, mature bushes, treeing, forced carries, windy, playable rough and OB lurking everywhere reminisce of links golf guided by treeline and fescue.

The only relief I found was the slow paced makeable putts which you got to make as all the stress is from tee to green.

Aesthetics wise the course is average, however, the greens were recently cut and very makeable; a passing mark in my books.

You're doing very well if you can card a clean score card.

I've played this course a few times and like it for my son who is a beginner. Our last round was brutally slow. We waited anywhere from 5-20 minutes on every tee deck. Marshall driving around cleaning tee decks but not hurrying groups up. The round was very frustrating and not enjoyable. I will not return to this course.

This is my first time writing a review but we had such an enjoyable experience I thought it was worth commenting.

We arrived to a short staffed proshop & had a player running late. The gentleman at the proshop, calmly said not to worry & he'd get us ready to the tee as soon as our last player arrived. He made us feel totally relaxed & put no pressure on the late player. Later in the day apparently the pace of play slowed in front of us, both the marshal & cart girl warned us of the upcoming issue but by the time we reached the holes in question the issues had been resolved. Service was fantastic, course was in great shape, value for the dollar was excellent....my game didn't change! LOL!

We had heard good reviews about Scenic Woods and it delivered in every way. The course is in good condition and offers beautiful vista. It was our first time playing Scenic Woods and all my golfing buddies enjoyed it. We will be coming back now that we know the course even better. I can sum it up by saying a good value, moderately challenging course set in beautiful surroundings with friendly staff.

Great value for the money. Greens were in good shape for all season. Looks to be some sprinkler improvements for next year. Some efforts in the sand bunkers would make this a great course.
Staff, especially Marshalls were very helpful.
Challenging holes with par 5's providing opportunities for birdies while unique par 4's (#4, #6 and #14) provide risk/reward situation for those longer hitters - otherwise lay up and rely on your iron play and putter. Tough Par 4's in both #15 and #17 challenge you to hit your best shots to have a chance at par. Each of the par 3's are no gimmies , especially #13 which is scenic and intimidating.....give it your best shot.
Great ending #18 where birdie and maybe eagle is possible to entice you to be back for another round.

The course was not in good playing condition that day. Greens not cut, leaves all over the place. Did not see any crews doing anything. Looking like they had given up for the year. Hope we have a few more days left.

It had been about 15 years since I had played this course. Just starting to get back into golf in the last few years so I figured I was ready to conquer what used to be my nemesis of mine. Overall for the end of the year the course was still in pretty good shape. There are lots of mature tress throughout the course and naturally the ground around them is very rough. Hint, avoid hitting near a tree. For a nice fall day the pace was pretty good with steady play all along. No complaints from me. Good thing though that I was there with people who were familiar with the layout. I did not remember how all the holes were laid out.

Pleasantly surprised because I had heard that the course was in rough shape. I found it to be average and acceptable.

Marshall warned us to skip a hole because of the tempo. Didnt take into consideration there was a foursome in front of us. So did he expect us to go from 11 to 13 because it was to slow? He accused my group of being slow yet there was a group ahead of us. Then harassed my group for 3 Holes. Stalking with drive by and stops to watch us. Im there for my round as a paying customer. i deserve my full round. The stalking and preying over our game made me frustrated so thanks to your staff for interrupting my game.

The Course layout is ridiculous.

The fairway need a lot of work. There are many bare spots and many times you were hitting the ball off hard clay. Most of the cart paths are gravel and need to be paved. There were no marshals on the course therefore our round was agonizing slow, it took four and three-quarter hours to finish. The layout also seems to be very peculiar, there seems to be a lot of crisscrossing to get from one hole to the other.

The course was in good shap, the staff were very nice to deal with.
The food was great. I will be going back as soon as I can.

Played many times in past. Wasn't a enjoyable round, tee time was 10 minutes late and just under 6 hrs to play a round. Only saw one Marshall and didn't see any improvement in pace of play. In future will golf somewhere else on a afternoon during the weekend.

greens are good , the only thing I noticed are the fairways, they are hard...overall ..it is good..I recommend this course to my friends..staff are friendly..

I was extremely disappointed in this course & will not return. There are much better courses available for the money. Course layout and condition were very poor.

A lot of fun. Enjoyed the 18. I got it on golf now for 15 bucs ish. Can't complain.

greens were good but temp tees were not. they could at least cut the rough before they call them tee boxes

Very busy which affected the pace of play. It was a holiday weekend though.
