Wyldewood Golf
Can’t go wrong playing here for the day if you’re in the area. Good little track that provides some challenging shots and choices throughout the round while giving you plenty of opportunities to score.
All the staff from the pro shop to the restaurant were fantastic as well, making for a very friendly and welcoming environment for players of all skill levels.
highly overrated
The course was in terrible shape--no starter--the club house was abysmal and generally a lousy experience for a supposedly high end course
Challenging meandering course, poor maintenance.
This is a challenging course with a meandering layout, lots of trees and water. Long par 4s. Course maintenance could be better with lots of hard, barren and broken up ground. However, Greens are well maintained and reasonably fast. Got a good Hot Deal on GolfNow, otherwise not worth the regular rate double that for a course of this quality. Will be back if I can snag another comparable Hot Deal just because of the challenging nature of the course.
Postpone
Our T time is 2:54. But the front team did not start until 3:15 PM. There was no Marshal to tour. The front team postponed a lot of time. When we hired the 18 hole, it was about 7:30, and it was hard to see the ball and green. It’s a bad experience.
Greens were good but suffering from bald spots. Old wooden bridges should be condemned. Some cart paths were nothing but dirt and ruts. Worth $50 including cart.
Disappointing especially for the price
I hadn't played this course since 1985 as a teenager, back then it was a nice course. 8 of us decided to give it a try yesterday. What an utter disappointment. The parking lot was a disaster, the course was in terrible condition and the line to wait to pay in the pro shop was unacceptable. The garbage can on the 13th tee was overflowing and there is a rain shelter near the 17th tee that is in complete disrepair, an eyesore that should be taken down. For $81 to walk and over $100 for our friends who chose to ride, it is highway robbery. And this is a private club??? They are spending lots of money on the bunkers but how about water the fairways or fix the greens. Some of the tees were nothing but dirt. It's worth about $35-$40 to play, not what they are asking. Next door you can play Royal Ontario for just a bit more. So it had been 37 years since I played it last and it will be anther 37 until I return!
Interesting…
My first time playing this course, and a little disappointed. I normally play Royal Ontario next-door and thought I would try Wildwood. First off this course as a mixed bag… Some Fareway is great other Fareway is an absolute tattered mess… Same with tea boxes and grains. Seems to be you get a little bit of everything on this course. Also for someone who’s never played here before the layout was All over the place and not a natural flow from one hole to the next. Signage also was not prevalent to guide players to the next hole and also it’s confusing as to where the ladies should be teeing off. I say this because on some holes it was too generous of an allowance and often times aligned with the juniors Teebox
Nice faireway and green
Very few rain in GTA lately, but Wyldewood has a wonderful fairway and green.
