Bellmere Winds Golf Club

I have played this course many times ( close to the cottage) and when the course was is in earliest stages. Hole 1 use to be par 5 490..good opening hole, now a short par 4 to make room for the new cottages on the left of hole1. Greens are superb.... fairways pristine... and 1st cut rough thick.. which makes up for only 3 par 5s on the course. The only thing that needs to be amended is the score card yardage and gps which is a nice add on to the carts is they need to match.. some holes off the tee block were off by like 25 to 35 yards. Course was busy for a early Thursday morning round and seemed steady through the day.

When we got there, there was about 16 people at least waiting for carts, they didn’t have enough- they were waaaay overbooked. Anything to get money through the door I guess. people were teeing off 45 minutes late, when we finally got a cart and got to the first tee (45min after tee time ) , we were behind a group of 8, they were taking 4-5 practice shots , walking to each persons ball and hitting, they were taking forever we were waiting 10-15 minutes a hole. We didn’t even finish the ninth hole and we had been there over 3 hours. We paid for 18 and only got to play 8. This is the most poorly run golf course I have ever been to. None of the staff knew what was going on. Never golfing there again. We didn’t even golf the 9 holes with the view.

I booked three golf now and paid my fees but when l got there they didn’t have me in the system. That was the only fault l had

Course in great shape. Greens excellent and tee blocks as well. Played the front nine at a good pace but a group of 3 cut in after stopping for lunch at 10 and would not let us play through .We waited on every hole before teeing off and no one in front of them. One player did not have any clubs so group exchanged clubs on every hole. Rule is to allow faster players to play through but this group very oblivious to the concept. No marshall so we waited on every shot for 9 holes. Not fun.

If you have the opportunity, play this course. It is absolutely beautiful. You can see Rice Lake from every hole. It is one of the most scenic courses we have ever played. The carts are equipped with GPS,. There are plenty of elevated tees. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Great Course!

I think it’s from the 12th to the 13th hole is where there should be a bit better signage for where to go. The overall course is astounding but I did get a bit lost and turned around at the crossroads by I think it was 12 to 13 and I found myself at the 15th tee box

Course in amazing condition. Every hole was very enjoyable and cool with tons of elevation but always able to have a good lie

Course in generally very good condition. Glad to see work being done on the cart paths.

Lovely views, as always and pace of play great this time.

Course was in good condition, greens were smooth to not overly fast. Views of rice lake were really nice. Cart paths were brutally rough, very hard on you back. Hopefully they plan to pave them. Front 9 plays Alittle tougher than back 9,deep fescue lines most of the fairways making holes look well framed. Would recommend playing this course.

Great course, some reviews and people I’ve spoken with talk about the poor cart path conditions, but with the elevation changes and all the rain, what can you expect. Maybe 3-4 paths are washed out, but if you drive properly, you won’t have an issue.

One piece of advice.... mark the pins with front, middle and back flags. There are a number of elevated and multi tiered greens, knowing where the pin is located can be helpful.

The greens were in the best shape they have ever been in for sure 100%

Unfortunately, the wet weather we've been experiencing has left parts of the course wet and other parts chewed up by ??? travelling over the wet ground

Work needs to be done on the cart paths as well

Arrived 20 minutes early for our scheduled tee time and were told we just had to wait for carts to come in as they were all in use. Over an hour after our scheduled tee time we finally got on the course. Pace of play was very slow and no Marshalls in sight to keep people moving.

Despite the wet conditions, the course was in great shape. Nothing the grounds crew can do about all the water lately. Kudos to the maintenance group for doing a great job

Unfortunately the pace of play was hindered greatly by the group in front. Also there was some sort of a mix up with the carts. I guess I was unlucky, the staff we're great and the course was relatively dry for the most part even with the super wet start to the season which was nice! Greens were fast and the fairways were pretty.

Tee time was at 1020 and didn't get started until 1110 as there was a mix up at the club house with carts and tee times.

I play this course several times per year. Great to see blue heron take over the course. Since they have I see a notch above in grounds management. A challenging course with a great layout for all golfers.

I do wish they would invest in a full pro shop and clubhouse especially with all the seasonal buildings being erected on site. It would be a huge plus to get something other than sandwich’s and hot dogs after play. Staff could be friendler especially at the pro shop .

One last point; what is with the random carts driving along your fairway when you are playing? No clubs just someone trolling by. If your on a golf course learn proper etiquette please!
