About
Situated in the center of Kawarthas on the northern shore of Rice Lake, Bellmere Winds Golf Club offers scenic views of the water from every hole. This 18-hole golf course features plenty of elevation changes and a few doglegs added in for more challenges. The topography causes a few uneven lies, it also makes the golf course very difficult to walk, and there are also natural ditches around the narrow fairways that can be treacherous to any errant shots. All of the par 3s have a pond and there are strategically placed sand bunkers throughout. Bellmere Winds Golf Club is conveniently located only 25 minutes from Peterborough.

A gem overlooking Rice Lake golf course.
From the 1st tee up to 18th green is breathtaking scenery overlooking Rice Lake.
Always a challenge
Scenic course with lovely lake views and welcome breeze off the lake
Course in remarkably good shape given the hot, dry conditions
Challenging, long course
I’ve always enjoyed this course
Very scenic course on the edge of rice lake. Due to a very hot afternoon and following a foursome(new golfers)... that wouldn’t let us play through, had there been a Marshall on the course I’m sure he would have informed them of etiquette play. I’ve seen this course in better conditions. I’ll go back again before seasons ends. I’m a member of another course moving around to stop boredom
Waste of time
Even for the 50$ green fee...this course it not worth it. Service was bad. No food available. The course has some nice views but that's it. The greens are so bad. Leave the fairway just slightly and your ball is gone. No shade and no beverage cart on a Saturday in 30 degree heat. Just not fun.
Slow and Sticky
Course was extremely busy.....over 105f and very little breeze Some of the greens were dead or dying in spots But for $28 with cart it was still a good day
Slow Go!!
It's a beautiful course, but we pulled up to the first tee 5 minutes before our tee off time and there were 4 groups waiting. No starter at all. We teed off 25 minutes late. Had to wait at every shot thru the whole 18. We never saw a Marshall anywhere. Garbage pails were overflowing at each hole. Saw the drink cart on the 3rd hole and never saw her again ... despite 30 degree temp. We heard after 9 holes that the drink cart girl went home.
Course was good, tough pin placements
Good overall round, a little slower for a late Sunday tee time.

Great evening of golf
Course was in good condition, a bit of issues on some greens, but otherwise very nice.
Pace was good in the evening as not many people had golfed in the afternoon.
This course was a lot better a few years ago. They keep adding more trailers all around the course, it really detracts from what was once a great view while playing. The first hole, they changed the par on, and moved the tee boxes up, probably to build more trailers.
On the other hand it is a challenging course, and if you don’t hit the fairway, good luck finding your ball in the fescue.
Great Value and Beautiful Views
This course overlooks Rice Lake which is visible from many of the holes. I appreciate the price point of this course and the elevation changes and views are breathtaking. I nice club house would be well suited here. I would recommend this course to anyone travelling in the area.

GREAT SCENERY AND CONDITIONS
Course in great shape .Greens challenging and fast. Nice variety of holes. Fairways good . Only issue is the cart paths. Prepare for a bumby ride and muddy .No clubhouse and limited menu but a cart girl still operating .Pace of play slow especially on the front nine .Golfers looking for lost balls in the fescue rough;makes for a wait on most tees. Back nine not as much of an issue.Carts have a GPS system which is great. Staff very helpful especially the starter and friendly cart girl. A worthwhile course to play for all levels from a variety of tee blocs. Great views of Rice Lake. A MUST VISIT DURING THE FALLC OLOURS. Be prepared for no bathrooms on the back nine.

Bellemere Winds is a great track perched above Rice Lake. Course was in great shape and the view is spectacular
Challenging
This îs a challenging course that could be improved with shorter roughs so we can find our balls, less hazards in the line of play, and more sand in the bunkers. It would also be great if they added 5 more minutes between their tee times so that I wouldn't have to wait at every single hole to tee off ... it's hard to get into a rhythm with all the constant delays. And how about water stations??
