Tee-off time was 12pm. Arrived at the course around 10:50. When we asked cr. rep in the pro shop if we could tee-off right away as there wasn't anyone on the 1st tee-box nor anyone around even ready to start. The response given was that it was the club's policy that they weren't allowed to have golfers registered from GolfNow starting more than 30 min.before their scheduled start time. This restrictive policy might make sense on a busier day. On this particular instance, it served only to infuriate two golfers wishing to "get on with things" and speed up our day.One of the frequent complaints we hear about the game is the amount of time it takes. On a less busier day like we had yesterday, this would have been a perfect opportunity to make our outing more enjoyable. Instead it gave rise for another "golfer to vent".An easy problem worth rectifying.
Course was in decent shape for early spring but play could have been even faster with active marshalling
Nice course
I went on a day when it was drizzling for the first few holes and ended up being descent weather afterwards. Not many people were there due to the weather so the pace of play was very fast. The grounds were soaked due to the heavy rain from the day before but was able to play through it. Very nice layout. Excellent for a beginner. I booked using golf now so I ended up getting a very good deal.
Granite Ridge Ruby
Course had just opened.
Course was very wet following a few days of rain.
likely preventing ground crews from working.
Fairways good. Rough needed cutting.
Greens running very slow and bumpy.
Bunkers nard and compact sand need maintenance.
Course bad shaoe
It's early in season but fairways were like rough, greens were bumpy and so slow. 5 hour round no marshals doing anything useful
Early Season - Very Wet
It's early in the year, so the conditons (while very soggy) were pretty decent overall, but the pace of play was awful! 5.5 hours!
Starter was in a BIG hurry to get people going off the 1st tee, but there was NO SIGN of anyone beyond that pushing people along.
Longest round in at least a decade for me.
Been a long time since I played here, and I won't be back any time soon because of it
Opening Day 2017
A decent time and expectations were on the low side as it was the first day of play for the course for 2017.
All in all it was an enjoyable experience.
Nice course but needs a marshall
Course was in great shape for so early in the season - not waterlogged at all.
As a high-handicap hacker I found the course to be ok - good mix of challenging undulating greens, reasonably wide fairways and not too many hazards!
Enjoyed the course but the pace of play was pretty slow @ 4h45 and not once did we see a Marshall coming around.
Very good course
Good course arrangement. Beautiful sight.
This course is not very difficult.
I loved it because of the par fours.
Granite Ridge Cobalt Course
First time I have played this course. Course was in good shape for fall golf. Not many people on the course. A thoroughly enjoyable day. Staff were friendly.
Slow day
Very slow day made it hard to get into playing. Ended up leaving half way through the 12th hole when when it was backed up with three groups all over the hole.
Was disappointing that we got a good deal from golf now but could not finish the round due to the pace of play.
We were told by staff before we went out that they were not that busy and we could have our choice of course, boy was that ever misleading.
Have played a number of rounds theought the year on weekend mornings this course was by far the worse for pace of play. Sitting in the cart for 5 min between shots does not get you into any grove and makes it start to seem like more of a chore vs a great day out.
Fair play
For the money, this was a great round of golf. While the course is forgiving on most holes there are some good challenging approach shots. Greens are medium in size and have some good undulation to them. Great staff, great scenery and over all I would play again in a pinch.
Good pace of play
Course is really nice. Other than the usual damage from the recent drought its in good shape. Pace of play was good even though there were no marshalls. A little confusion about which 9s we were supposed to play as two employees told us two different things but great round other than that. Very scenic course
Great little trek that is very well maintained
This has become my home course! I really love playing it whenever I can after work. I can usually get around as a single in less than 3 hours. Other foursomes or threesomes are very kind to let me play through. The holes are challenging enough to keep me coming back. The greens are immaculate even with the heat wave we have have all summer. I would highly recommend this trek to anyone who wants to go low, maybe even break 80!
