Course has above average features
Challenging layout Course well maintained , with good variety of hole designs Scenic views near the Niagara escarpment Quality venue, above average
Fun to play , would definitely recommend it .
Nice course
The golf course is well maintained. The some greens are quite challenging and interesting due to uneven surfaces.
Very slow round
Granite Ridge is a great course. The price is reasonable (especially on GolfNow), conditions are always good, and the staff is friendly.
Unfortunately the pace of play is very slow. Our group teed off at 1:30 and finished at 6:45. That's not a typo. 5 hours and 15 minutes.
If you're planning on coming here make sure you don't have anywhere to be afterwards...
Great,challenging course
I thoroughly enjoyed this course but unfortunately the weather was cold-a terrible wind.Great scenery, very well maintained and friendly staff. The Pro shop had awesome golf wear! I definately will go back.Could you send me emails re promotions?
Thanks Lorna Leitch
Nice Course By The Escarpment
This is a nice golf course situated next to the Niagara Escarpment in Milton, ON making for a very picturesque setting with a real country feeling to it, conveniently located just a short drive from the Greater Toronto Area. The course conditions were good except for the greens which were not excellent but only likely due to it being very early in the season. We played the Blue-White hybrid which provided enough distance to make it challenging enough. There is plenty of water throughout the course and a few narrow driving holes which added to the fun of the day. The course is not overly long but requires you to be accurate throughout to score well. Many greens are multi-tiered requiring your putter to be 'on' if you want to score well here. I would return and recommend to a friend!
Great Course with spectacular views
First time playing this cours. Played on a Sunday of the long weekend and we were never rushed or on the heels of the group ahead of us. Great price too and we'll maintained course.
Slow slow slow, no Marshall
Had a 3'some in front taking forever to play, taking/playing other people's balls all day and driving carts on the greens! Not a Marshall to be seen in 5 hours even after asking at 9. Frustrating way to play golf to say the least... In fairness, although short, course was in good shape, greens pretty slow.
Pleasantly surprised
Early season conditions were pretty good with fairly quick greens and nicely cut fairways. Play moved along nicely until about the 12th hole when we caught up to groups in front. 4.5 hrs pace on a busy day was acceptable. Bunkers had decent sand. The only negative was that a few holes run parallel to each other and there were stray shots on a few holes, one hitting our cart on 17th tee. Cart girls came around often, always cheerful and polite. Overall enjoyed the day and will be back.
Decent
Par 70 decent course, decently maintained. Fairly easy open course with a small amount of hazards.
Solid round
Greens a little bit slow, but moist humid day. Good value for the money. Had a few slow golfers, and some lacking ettiquete out there. But for the most part a great day, and nothing at fault of the course. Couple tough holes for all handicaps
Good value for money and well kept course
Good value for money and well kept course. The course wasn't that busy and was well kept.
Granite ridge cobalt
Nice course, in good shape. Very good for the price, easy for the beginner golfer.
good deal
cart path only. made for lots of walking on some holes.
cart path yardage marker were helpful.
Nice course
It's very happy time with my friends. It's nice weather and beautiful course.
Beginner friendly
My current best scores are in the nineties...I shot 96 so course is manageable. Will definitely be back when course is prettier lol
Granite Ridge Ruby
Nice course and in good condition for early in the season! Disappointed in having to pay 4 booking fees (one for each player) and $48 seems high for a last minute hot deal - especially considering that they only credit my account for ONE round! Golfnow seemed like a better deal last year when the same 4 players would have paid $42 each!
Nice to be back
It was nice to be playing Granite again, after a long cold winter. I played Cobalt and the course was in reasonable condition for this time of year. Some fairways were wet and the course was generally soft but this will improve as the season progresses and they have time to bring the course up to their usual, very acceptable standards. The pace was excellent because it was a weekday early in the season. I play Granite - Ruby or Cobalt - a couple of times a month and it is one of the better courses in the area. It is forgiving enough for beginners and the mix of bunkers and water make it a good course to improve your game.
Fair course early in the season
When you choose to play a course early in the season the conditions will not be ideal but for an early April tee-off the course was actually very good, Love the layout and the ground while muddy was fair. Greens were better than I expected for so soon in the year. Overall the course is lively situated near the escarpment and it turned out to be very enjoyable!
