Lowville Golf Club
About
Tucked away in the scenic Niagara Escarpment, Lowville Golf Club offers scenic views of the greater Toronto area. The layout blends seamlessly with the natural landscape, creating a picturesque golf setting that the Toronto Star's "Bogey Man" has touted as the most scenic in the area. The golf course has also received top honors from the same publication as the most improved club. This challenging, 18-hole course features several downhill tee shots that can really carry, making it a fun course for long hitters. Lowville Golf Club's 12th hole is notably entertaining. It is a long par-5 that requires a long carry off the tee to a tricky green.

Cart price
I've enjoyed playing Lowville for over 3 decades.
However, I was very disappointed today at the cost of $29.00 for a single person in a cart. I've played 7 different courses this year and no other course has jacked their cart prices. Again, disappointing that Lowville is choosing to gouge this way. My friends and I will social distance from Lowville.
Very Scenic
This is course is one of my favorites to play in the GTA !! Staff is super friendly and always helpful. Not to mention any time I play the course is in great condition. Greens are always rolling nice and the view of the escarpment is breath taking !!
Thanks for the aeration notice
You would expect that when the the greens are freshly aerated that:
1. You would be told so you can decide if $60+ per round is worth it (NOT!)
or
2. The course would reduce the green fees
Not playing here ever again....not sure what the next surprise might be.....
Lowville
I had a great day. Enjoy this course and good value. We were paired up with two others to make a foursome and we had a lot of fun. The pace was great.
Great Day to Play Golf
Only second time I have played this course with the new layout which I like compared to the old one which included the crazy 10th hole which required hitting through an apple orchard. The course is hilly with many ups and downs. We walked which is a physical challenge. The view is great. The greens were quite slick one having to be careful to not run puts 10 ft. by. Course is generally forgiving in respect of errand tee shots.
Shortcomings
The most glaring complaint was from the two ladies in our foursome. Noth agreed the ladies tees were so far up from the mens they felt somewhat insulted. The fairways are cut fairly long not like most fairways. By the amount of unfair pin placements it seemed mean spirited. When you touch a ball and it rolls off the green...what can i say
Challenging course
Great course. Greens were very fast and difficult to read. Some great views.
Great day at Lowville
We had a great day at Lowville.
The fairways are in great shape, the greens are challenging and roll true. My only negative was the ball marks on the greens. Golfers need to learn to fix their ball marks!
Staff is great, and the food is fantastic!
The views from the higher elevation holes on the course are spectacular, will be stunning with the fall colours in a couple weeks.
Playing again next weekend.
Pace of play terrible
Took over 5 hrs to play.
Three groups on ever hole.
Never play there in weekend
First round, not the greatest experience
Cons: greens were sanded so putting was very bouncy. I understand maintenance needs to be done but there should be a discounted rate or at least advertise these conditions at booking. Tee blocks have seen better days and some had quite long grass. As for the layout I prefer par 4s to be longer than driver distance and par 5s shouldn't be driver 8 iron into the green.
Pros: staff were very friendly. Nice clubhouse
Will I play here again? Maybe I'll give it a shot in the summer next year when the greens aren't sanded. I prefer to play a course like bond head that's ten dollars cheaper but better kept and a better challenge.
Great Views and Value
Golf Now Hot Deal. This course is worth $60 let alone the $34 I paid to walk. This is not a walking course for the casual player. Views are great. Beverage cart Is around plenty. Pace isn’t fast but it’s just not a fast course with all the hills and trouble spots. Scoring is possible even from the tips if you play smart golf. Not a place for novice players.
