Lowville Golf Club
About
Tucked away in the scenic Niagara Escarpment, Lowville Golf Club offers scenic views of the greater Toronto area. The layout blends seamlessly with the natural landscape, creating a picturesque golf setting that the Toronto Star's "Bogey Man" has touted as the most scenic in the area. The golf course has also received top honors from the same publication as the most improved club. This challenging, 18-hole course features several downhill tee shots that can really carry, making it a fun course for long hitters. Lowville Golf Club's 12th hole is notably entertaining. It is a long par-5 that requires a long carry off the tee to a tricky green.

Quite short but well looked after
First time playing, pace of play was fine for a Sunday afternoon, about 4.5hrs.
Quite hilly so definitely use a cart.
Bunkers were amazing, deep and soft sand.
Greens have a lot of break to them but they are true. A tad bouncy which makes them slow. Very well looked after though.
Appreciate the signage, some courses don't bother.
My favorite course in southern Ontario
Many times I’ve played lowville. Every time has been a blast. Great staff. Course is perfect for beginners and advanced players all around. The most scenic course I’ve ever played. Would strongly suggest this course to anyone who loves the sport
The course was in great shape, didn't have to wait at all on tee box, not pressed from behind..played the course in under 4 hours. Would highly recommend.
Always a Treat but Holy Maintenance Batman
Played this course a couple of times now. Really enjoy the elevation changes, views, and challenges brought by the elevation.
However, there was so much maintenance going on. Every hole it seemed. From brush trimming, mowing, bunker reconstruction, etc. Just seemed to never end. Maintenance carts driving every which way. There was always the sound of maintenance motors either very close by or in the distance.
Greens are a little behind on maintenance. Definitely a preponderance of divots and just some bare spots here and there. Seems like they're simply behind on maintenance. However, playing the course without the maintenance staff around, I don't mind that much. Great course to play otherwise.
I'll maybe take a break from this course while they get some of this sorted.

Course was in good shape. Some excellent views from the Escarpment. Didn't find the layout all that challenging.
Great value
Course is great, and challenging. Greens are quick and well maintained. Views from many tee blocks are amazing. Great Staff
nice course except for the bunkers
Beautiful day , fully booked but still played in just over 4hrs, several holes up and down the side of the incline, great views from above , sand traps were in unplayable condition, but otherwise the fairways and greens were good .
Would not hesitate to play there again, a solid 3+, but not quite a 4 on my overall rating .
Decent track with reduced rate
Figured it would be in better shape with all the rain. Way too many bunkers out of commission. In saying this.... more than a few real nice elevated driving holes. Back 9 made it worthwhile.
Great Course
Very Nice Scenery good course layout friendly staffs overall it was great value, the best hidden gem around the city.I highly recommend it and we will be back soon
Great golf course
Fathers day round of golf was busy but was moving at a steady pace. Great shape as far as the whole course goes except for some bunkers that are under construction which never came into play anyway. Cart girl was awesome. Saw that we didn't open our beverage from her last go round and exchanged them for cold ones! Would definitley play here again.

Great course. Staff etc One thing. Please fix the bunkers. They make the place look like an abandoned factory. At least clean the weeds and tank it out if they are closed. Just my thought.
Loweville is a place that you will go back to over and over again. 9/10. Had to take a pint for the ugly unkept bunkers.
Unfortunate
Don't book a twilight time, and especially don't if you're a young, visible minority. I was given a hard time by the staff member with the blue Maserati, because I was the last person off the course. Yet there was about 20 mins till sundown. I finished 5 mins after the last twosome, who were also behind a foursome. He was also griping that I was hitting two balls, but yet I was keeping pace and still waiting at the tee block for my turn. I'll be spending my hard earned dollars elsewhere.
