Tucked away in the scenic Niagara Escarpment, Lowville Golf Club offers scenic views of the greater Toronto area. The layout blends seamlessly with the natural landscape, creating a picturesque golf setting that the Toronto Star's "Bogey Man" has touted as the most scenic in the area. The golf course has also received top honors from the same publication as the most improved club. This challenging, 18-hole course features several downhill tee shots that can really carry, making it a fun course for long hitters. Lowville Golf Club's 12th hole is notably entertaining. It is a long par-5 that requires a long carry off the tee to a tricky green.

Rollling terrain with nice vistas. Challenging greens
Great views and aspect, some challenging holes
Overall a nice course - mix of challenging and more straightforward holes. Backs onto escarpment so has decent elevation changes that mean some uphill shots are very unforgiving. Some downhill holes you have to play shorter as limited holding areas around greens. Will definitely go in the rotation!
Expensive for Twilight
While the actual course is very nice and the staff is very friendly, the off course amenities do not stand out. It seems their pricing is too high for what is actually offered. Golf was in high demand throughout Covid, but now the high prices and poor twilight rates does not make it worth the visit.
Awesome all Round
Starter got us off with heads up about pace and what was coming behind. Course was in good shape although rain came hard days before so couple wet spots. Missed the 0900 service but staff were great once they got to us!

Well maintained and just hard enough. from the reds
Tee off groups
The course combines 2 twosomes to make a foursome, which is normal, but then sends off 3 sets of twosomes behind.
Obviously the groups behind were frustrated with pace of play. We let first twosome play thru but when we realized there was 2 more sets behind them, we refused to let next groups play thru.
Pro shop needs to do better job in planning.

Scenic course
The course was in good shape although many of the bunkers were wet. Great views and interesting layout. The wait staff were wonderful but the pro shop reception and cart rental folks were unfriendly and unhelpful. A smile goes a long way.
