Turtle Creek Golf
About
Laid across rolling countryside atop the Niagara Escarpment, Turtle Creek Golf uses the natural undulations of the landscape to its full advantage. The hilly terrain combined with the rocky outcroppings scattered throughout add to the scenic nature of the golf course. The elevation of the terrain shifts between subtle and dramatic. For the most part, the layout is wide open but there are some trees to be wary of as well as some rough areas. Water plays a prominent role on the course, coming into play on 12 of the 18 holes. Turtle Creek's idyllic charm flows from the course to the clubhouse, which incorporates a stone building from 1835.

Interesting Course for good and bad
First let me say I understand I played this course at a time when we haven't had any significant rainfall over the last few weeks, so i will overlook the burnt grass on many holes. But something needs to be done with the greens and fairways. It was like hitting my shots off cement for some holes. Some well placed shots I would watch roll entirely off the green and sometimes into hazard. Also Hole #10, #11, (and i think #13) what the heck?! Your shots had to CARRY over 210 yards just to avoid the water and make it to the fairway. That is basically a 270+ drive you need just to get over the water. Im a 25 handicap i drive the ball about 200-230 but there was no way i could make that shot, especially the 10th. Very poor layout for a course that attracts beginners to intermediate players. Other than that, the course isnt bad. Lots of interesting holes and staff was friendly. Good power carts as well
Nice course, tough greens
It's a nice course and has a few challenging holes. The greens are difficult but it just adds to the challenge. The golf carts are electric with ball washers.
The course is in great condition.
I would recommend this course.
Like playing on cement
The courses nice layout is let down by the hardness of the ground. Fairways and greens difficult to land and stick because the surface was like trying to land the cart path. Would only recommend playing after a significant rainfall unless they water more frequently.
Couldnt agree more. Just played it andjad so many shots roll off the green when threy normally shouldnt
Nice course for a reasonable price.
The fairways are in good shape but the greens and sand bunkers need some attention.
The course should be in top shape in a few weeks, good round for early in the season.
Terrible layout
Blunt tee shots. Unreachable fairways. Tiny greens. Blind tee shots. This course has made up for its lack of length by making unreasonable play for the average golfer. This round represented twice I played turtle creek.....my first and my last....
Turtle Creek Back 9 holes
I,m intermediate player and hit my driver 210 so very challenge & I like try again & recommend all my level player.
Super Little Course
If you are a fan of target gold you will love Turtle Creek. The course is relatively short, but the fairways are now, and the greens are small and firm. To add to that, the greens have some of the most demanding slope I have seen in a long time. Land in the wrong place and you are off. That said, it is a course your whole family will enjoy, as the length suits all levels of the game.
If you want a course where you hit driver on every hole, and expect it to be in play even with a 50 yard slice, then this is not for you.
I was a single and played on my own, pace was really good until a foursome who had lost there way on hole 11, somehow got in front of me. After that it was 30 minutes a hole. Not the courses fault at all, and as I was way ahead of schedule is not really something I should complain about.
Enjoy!!!
hard as a rock
Nice course with interesting holes, be prepared to shoot a high score, small greens require pinpoint accuracy , just to lay in on the green, they are rock hard do not hold the ball on at all. putting is an adventure very fast. Fairways very hard as well . Not long course but a real challenge no easy holes.A tough day for a hi handicapper bring your A game. Tee boxes pretty chewed up.Overall found the course very tricky and a little unfair. Took the fun out of it.
Challenging layout
Short but challenging layout, some holes require a long carry over marsh areas to reach fairway. Very small, fast greens with lots of slope changes.
Two fantastic holes
First time playing, really enjoyed my round.
There are three holes that are not only challenging but also very fun to play.
Lots of water comes into play so bring lots of balls.
Ok
Rough greens and tee boxes. It should be cut to a nicer speed and not rough or long. I won't be going back.
Nice Course, small contoured greens!
Played on a Sunday afternoon. $47.99 per player was a little pricy for this course. Conditions were fair. Fairways and greens were chewed up from play. Course has small greens and narrow fairways. Overall, Course is nice with gardens and good scenery, layout is nice with a lot of water and bunkers were in great shape.
Turtle creek
Well maintained course, good challenge.
Tough greens, make sure your short game is ready.
played before
this course is good for the wife and I . I don't hit very far anymore and the yardage is good for the wife as she only plays every now and then . course condition is very good staff is very friendly and helpful. there are some challenging holes which makes this a very nice course is very well suited to my game. will be back .
An alright course but have to get the 4th hole before you pull out the driver
Will only play this course when the price is right
Like this course now.
I hated this course the first time I played it last year because of the challenging holes. Sometimes you can't even see the fairways. The greens are hard to read.
But this time, I realized what this course is for. It challenges you with your short games. Lots of par 3 complemented by par 5s. So you have good opportunity to use both your driver and short irons.
Worth Playing
Short course with numerous challenges for both novice and better golfers. I will play this course again.
Fun course
Challenging because of the water hazards. Signage is an issue as I missed two holes the first time I played it. The carry is a bit extreme on the 10th .But the course is well maintained pleasant staff and the round took 3 and half hours. I like the course.
Nice course
I have drove by for years and finally got to play it. Nice course. Greens don't hold so that's a little disappointing. But that's golf you need to figure it out lol
Only complaint would be the 13th. From the green tees there's no signage telling you to wait for the bell. I hit a great tee shot but think it went into the group in front (sorry) never found the ball. Even from the white the bell was hard to hear. I think a stop sign would be better. Elmira has this and it works well. Other than that I enjoyed my birthday golf. Thank you.
I play this course on a monthly basis and am 69 years old. I have absolouetly no issues with holes 10,11 and 13 and welcome the challenge but then Ican easily hit the ball 250 yards. That is part of the ambiance of the course in my opinion
Fairways are burnt but almost every course is.
I played the turttlecreekgolf for the first time and it was very dry in most areas I carry a 3.5 handi and shot a 65 from the blue tees my drive on that hole was a wedge to the green and i'm a senior HA ! HA !. YOUR WRIGHT IT IS A CHALLENGE BUT VERY INTERESTING LAYOUT. I WOULD LOVE TO PLAY IT IN MINT CONDITION HAVE A GREAT DAY. TRY BURLINGTON SPRINGS THE PONDS NEVER RUN DRY
