Silver Lakes Golf & Country Club
About
Carved from 200 acres of mature forest along the Holland River just 40 minutes from downtown Toronto, Silver Lakes Golf & Country Club provides a scenic round reminiscent of those found in either Florida or the Carolinas. Neighbored by native wetlands, the golf course features water hazards on 12 holes. There are also treacherous, well placed bunkers coming into play on every hole. The par-3 third hole is notably challenging, in addition to being flanked by bunkers, it also requires a carry over a pond. Silver Lakes Golf & Country Club also features a unique seven-acre aqua driving range as well as three chipping and putting greens.

Excellent
Excellent service, our foursome really enjoyed our morning of golf at silver Lakes. Always a fun time on a beautiful course. Can’t wait to go back.
Good condition
The course is in great shape despite the fall weather.
Great late summer golf!
Conditions lush, with spongy fairways, slowish greens. Not complaining, however. Felt like a course down south (without the alligators and gated community). Aqua driving range. Layout and reception excellent. Didn't try out the food facilities.
Damaged greens
This is an excellent course and the pace of play is excellent. I have played this course often over the last 20 years and enjoy the layout.
However, the greens are in poor condition this year which is very unusual. The speed of the greens were were also slow probably due to the poor condition.
I still recommend playing this course.
The Review
This course is a fun one. Plenty of tree lined fairways, meaning you better hit your shots, or you’re in trouble. A bunch holes with bunkers surrounding them, nice and challenging.
Greens roll well. I’ll be back.
Terrible pace
We wanted to get off early on a long weekend and the weather was perfect. We got stuck behind people who had never played before on a work outing. It was torture. The player's assistant did his best to move them along, but we won't be back.
Well kept course
Well maintained fairways, friendly staff, greens a tad inconsistent but certainly worth the 60$ I paid on golf now. Lots of water and loads of trees (bring some bug spray) with not alot of elevation change. One of the better courses I've played.
Some of the greens are in tough shape
Always enjoy this course; however, the pace is generally a bit slow and some of the greens were in tough shape and needed work.
Thank you for the review. The course is shaping up after a particularly challenging winter for southern Ontario facilities. I think you’ll find things have improved significantly since you’re last visit.
Silver Lakes GC
One of the best value in GTA. Very good price for a challenging course and generally well maintained.
Thank you for your review. We are pleased with our Scoregolf designation as 5th best value in Canada for public facilities in 2019.
North GTA
Played this course for the first time with a friend of mine on a Tuesday. We played 18 holes with a cart within 3 hours and 35 minutes, and that’s with playing from the longest tee boxes.
On site staff was great...very friendly. This course has a range that hits into a pond, first time seeing one of these. Only gripe I have with this course is with the grounds crew who put the tee box markers into the ground.
The colour order on the scorecard are (Red, White, Blue, Gold). But some boxes had the order mixed up! Made for a bit of a challenge when we came into contact with one back 9 hole to one front 9 hole.
Overall good value.
Thank you for the review. Sounds like some confusion with the tee boxes and first we had heard of it. Have passed along the info to our superintendent but glad to hear you enjoyed your visit otherwise.
Thank you for the review. Glad that you enjoyed the course and saw value in the price you paid.
