The 13th hole is particularly notable for its spectacular view of Niagara Falls in the distance.

Nice facility
Wish marshal was on course to speed play
Course is well kept
Staff was helpful
Classic Doug Carrick Course
Generous fairways but well protected and challenging greens. Need good approach shots to score well.
This course was great
Staff very friendly, course is good shape, greens and fairways are in tip top shape, considering its a public course, food and bar area very nice, locker rooms clean and * they have towels *
I would go again
Stunning Course
This course layout is stunning, aesthetically pleasing for the eyes. Very expansive giving you the feeling of being the only foursome out there. Thoroughly enjoyed the round, the only negative, many of the bunkers were hard, wet with poor drainage. If it hadn't rained the night before our round possibly the bunkers would have been in better shape. The practice facility was top percentile. Good fun was had by all. Will play again.
One of the best, but...
Needing some attention, traps couldn't be played today
excellent, but needs work on Bunkers
Played Aug 29 wonderful course fairway and green excellent despite the rain over last couple of days. The bunkers all seem to hold the water, especially the deep bunkers around greens our threesome put 7 balls in the greens bunkers that we were unable to retrive due the amount of water in bunkers
One of Niagara's Best
I have played both courses at Legands multiple times. Both are fun, chalanging, and picturesque. The services at the club house and half-way house are good, but rarely do you see a beverage cart on course. Also limited marshaling can cause back-ups, but this is unusual. Overall a fantastic place to play.
Played the Back Tees
A great track and enjoyed my first round here. Played the back tees as I was a single. The course plays well just have to hit it well of the tee to be rewarded. The course did hold the water as it was raining off and on but did not effect the enjoyment of my round. The greens roll great and are very true.
Huge fairways, plays long, great conditions
I played off the whites at Ussher's Creek. Even so, it felt like it played much longer than whites at other courses, but in a really good way. I played driver off every Par 4/5 (approx 250-260 length drive) and really enjoyed having huge fairways give me a lot of confidence of the tees. Girlfriend played off reds, which I thought played REALLY long compared to reds at other courses. I would think more of the Par 4's for reds should be rated Par 5 for women, that would be my only gripe. I played Thundering Waters the day before, and found it hugely disappointing. Legends will be my go-to course the next time I'm in the area.
greens and fairview were in good condition. some greens did not read as expected based on what you saw.
overall course welll maintained, very open and most holes are forgiving. It would be nice to have stakes for the 100 and 200 yard markers, instead of just the sprinker heads. they only had the 150 stake.
A true Links course!
This one is a must play if golfing in the Niagara region. Beautiful facility. A true links course. Lots of realestate between holes. Walking is not an option. Ussher's creek snakes through a few holes making them quite daunting indeed. Great value for the money. Got though in under 4 hours. Can't wait to play the other 18. Only complaint is that the traps were a bit firm and muddy but overall, my favourite in Niagara so far. Much better than Whirlpool.
Great course!
I love this course. The layout is beautiful and challenging. Hole #1 is a tricky par 5 that has bunkers in play on all 3 approach shots and the undulating green is generous in size but a tough 2 putt if you aren't close to the pin. From there things just get better!
Their practice facility is amazing! A great driving range with 3 tee decks, a full practice hole and then a separate putting green. I could spend a day there without even playing.
Only two complaints: they need to put sand in the bunkers, that's why it isn't pristine. I have yet to be at a course where the bunkers are properly maintained; and they are clearly doing work on #10 which is in awful shape right now but it is the end of the season and I assume they are getting the course ready for the winter.
For $50 or less, this is the best value in Niagara bar none. (I live here and have played all the courses)
Must play at least once
Very nice course; a bit expensive when compared to area similar courses.
nice layout and course in good shape
watch out for the poison ivy. I think I walked in to some before I saw the first sign. It might be nice to get a warning about that before heading out onto the course. The club house and practice facilities were great. The sand traps could use a bit more sand as it was sometimes difficult to to hit through the hard packed sand and with all the traps on this course I got lots of practice! All in all a very nice golf course
Great track
Nice Greens, perfect fairways. Keep the ball straight off the tee and you can score well.
Great ambience- golf club diner can be expensive
Always one of my favorite courses to play. Does not just cater to the low handicapper but accommodates seniors like myself to play a modest and more important enjoyable round of golf.
Since opening Between the 3 legend courses I have played probably 50 rounds of golf and hope I stay in physical condition to play another 5o rounds her.
Great staff- always accommodating. Good to witness the Niagara Parks spending some to maintain the course- at one point in time a few years back they were not maintaining the value of the course. Thanks to Golf Now it is now affordable to play
Need to play this course more often
Although Battlefield is near my home, I haven't played it very often. After today, I am going to make it a point to visit more often. It has a great variety of holes, and is in really nice condition. It was a first visit for one of my playing partners (a very good golfer), and he wants to be invited back anytime we play Battlefield.
great layout
unless your a single digit handicap stick with the white tees, the blues will punish you.
Beautiful Course
I was really impressed with the course condition and the rate of play. The marshal was seen around at most of the holes which kept the players moving well and this impressed me.
