Legends on the Niagara Golf Course - Ussher's Creek
About
The Ussher's Creek Course at Legends on the Niagara is one of two championship courses at this unique complex, which is also home to a nine-hole course and a unique, 3-acre, 18-hole putting course. The meandering creek after which the golf course is named, snakes through a number of holes, making pinpoint accuracy a necessity. The scenic layout, which borders the Niagara River, features tree-lined fairways and tall, thick fescue rough. There are also wetland hazards coming into play throughout. Doglegs, well placed bunkers, and prevailing wind are all challenging elements that come into play but generous fairways add a player-friendly touch to the Ussher's Creek course at Legends on the Niagara.

Thin traps
Some sand needed to rate higher. Deer flies on 9 made finishing the hole next to impossible. Not having the balcony open for the 19th hole a big mistake.
Soggy day for a long walk
In fairness it had rained earlier in the week. But 2 days later the course was still soggy. Cart path rules were in effect, necessitating a lot of latteral walking. The course is very flat, wide and open. Pretty boring actually. And it played a little longer than regular because with puddles on the fairway there was no roll. I played pretty much down the middle of the fairway and got in 16,000 even with a cart.
The staff were friendly and supportive through tough conditions.
Very challenging
Challenging but fair.
Great variety of hole designs.
Accuracy desired and rewarded.
Stoney Greens
Second time playing at the Legends facility this year and it was much of the same. Greens are absolutely terrible. Little stones or pebbles left on the green from top dressing them. Very very disappointing for the price that they charge should be criminal to charge that much and have such terrible greens. Really hope they figure this out soon or I'll be finding a new place to spend my 120 bucks.
Usshers Creek is Spectacular
We had the perfect day for golf. Weather was great and we loved playing Usshers Creek. Course was well maintained and easy to navigate. Wish the restaurant patio was open as the views are fantastic. We will be back soon!
Over zealous marshals
Fantastic course. Will be very nice once the weather is consistently better and the greens and fairways are growing. The marshals are a little over zealous about pace of play considering it’s a public course and it’s still springtime. Will definitely be back though.
Absolutely terrible
First, the good. I birdied the ninth.
Everything else was terrible, and I’d say this is one of my 5 favourite Niagara courses. Greens bumpy, patchy and uncut, no ball washers, garbage cans overflowing, no food service. But at least it was a 5 1/2 hour round. Drunks playing shirtless was a nice touch.
I’ve brought guests here before. Thank god I didn’t yesterday. What an embarrassment. Will think hard before returning.
Spring Conditions are Fine
Fairways and tee boxes are well maintained. Front 9 greens were quick and generally true roll. However, back 9 greens were slow and bumpy. Back 9 sand also was thin.
