Legends on the Niagara Golf Course - Ussher's Creek
About
The Ussher's Creek Course at Legends on the Niagara is one of two championship courses at this unique complex, which is also home to a nine-hole course and a unique, 3-acre, 18-hole putting course. The meandering creek after which the golf course is named, snakes through a number of holes, making pinpoint accuracy a necessity. The scenic layout, which borders the Niagara River, features tree-lined fairways and tall, thick fescue rough. There are also wetland hazards coming into play throughout. Doglegs, well placed bunkers, and prevailing wind are all challenging elements that come into play but generous fairways add a player-friendly touch to the Ussher's Creek course at Legends on the Niagara.

Golfer Reviews
We had an issue during the booking process through their phone line via Niagara Parks. The lady who I spoke to misbooked us for the wrong day when I requested for a weekend, specifically Saturday. She had booked us for friday instead.
On the day of the tee time, one of the players arrived early to pay but the pro shop had no record us being booked for that day and time. I had called the parks ones more and right away the lady (who sounded like the same person I had spoken to) with immediate panic she transfers me to the pro shop after I explained to her what the issue was. She definitely knew she made a mistake on the booking process when I had requested the specific WEEKEND DAY and NOT a weekday...
We were coming from 1hr away to play at this course because of its review and care for the course. I spoke to the pro shop manager on the phone and he managed to understand the booking error and squeezed us in. He was completely understanding of the situation and catered to our needs considering we were minutes away from the course. We made sure our pace of play didn't interfere with the other players.
For the most part, the course was in pretty good condition, some bunkers do need some new sand or touch ups. It was early into the season but it was kept well. Their outdoor course washroom was really clean and well air conditioned.
No call back
I left a spring jacket in the golf cart and called the course asap the pro shop said they would look and call me back. Never recieved a call.
Good time
Great place
We were heading for a 1 hour 40 minute front nine till we hit 7 hole
Back up all the rest of the way,
Took 4 hours and 40 minutes
Need all golfers to take a cart
Walkers really slowed the course down as green to next tee can be very long
I will be back though
What a gem
Beautiful layout, great greens, this is a wonderful course to play. Wish I would have found it sooner!
Nice quick round
Nice fall round of golf but very windy. Greens showing that there has been alot of play here and course showing the wear and tear of a long busy summer
Enjoyable
The course was great. The starter and the Marshall were both not very friendly. The group in front of us had 5 people..3 carts. One was just a spectator..so pace of play was not very good. But instead of dealing with that group the Marshall kept telling us to pick up the pace..we did not feel that was appropriate
First time there
Great layout and very challenging with different looks from every tee deck. Staff was spot on with everything.
Typical Fall Golf
Beautiful course in good condition considering the rain and wind. Very wet day, better on the second nine. Course does not facilitate walking very well; no shortcuts between green and next tee box. Third hole, par 3, desperately needs a foot bridge for walkers.
Unable to play
Unfortunately we had a less then acceptable experience at this course. When we drove up to the bag drop-off the weather was not condusive to play. It was raining and there were lightning bolts that appeared fairly close. Most of the golfers were coming in and getting rain checks. The course was telling people they could go out, however due to the significant lightning in the area, we felt it was too dangerous. The weather forcest for the area was for Lightning and Thunder Storms. We were not able to get a rain check nor a refund from Golf Now as the course was not officially closed. The staff at the golf course were not concerned for the safety of their customers, or helping us out as Golf Now customers.
We have had previous very positive experiences at this course, It seems this one employee in the pro-shop was resentful of us being a Golf Now booking.
He was rude to us from the time we handed him our confirmation.
Thanks
Bang for your buck
Wow. What a course and at a steal for what you get. LOVED IT!!! Can’t wait to get back for another round.
The course was good but it poured rain and thunder/lightning. Pro shop wouldn't give rain check because I booked through GOlf Now
I was very disappointed with my entire experience (nothing to do with Usher's Creek but with Golf Now). When we arrived for our 10:36 tee time it was starting to rain with thunder storms predicted. I was told that I could not get a rain check because I booked with Golf Now. I had to call Golf Now. The Pro Shop gave me a telephone number that was automated and indicated if any cancellations were required it had to be done online ahead of time. We started to play and got absolutely drenched on 1 and 2 but we continued and on 8 and 9 the thunder/lighting started and the horn blew. I checked with the starter and found out that thunder storms were forecast for the next few hours. Needless to say it was a disappointing, expensive short,, wet round of golf. I will NEVER book anything through golf now again.
Away with my father on a Niagara 3 day golf trip and Usshers was our final stop. Course conditions were impressive and the tee blocks were impeccable. This track requires accuracy with forced carries on many holes and strategically placed bunkers in landing areas. My Father is a short hitter and was forced to lay up on a few holes for manageable distance on approach shots. Pace of play was ok..... great September weather so many out to take advantage.
