About
Willodell Golf Club of Niagara is neighbored by Lyon Creek to one side and Tee Creek to the other. The championship layout sprawls across rolling hills covered with mature trees, which border the undulating fairways. Several ponds and two creeks come into play on 10 holes. There are numerous strategically placed bunkers to contend with in addition to the water hazards. The layout features a mix of driving holes, strategic holes, and some tough par 3s. Being so diverse, the golf course appeals to a range of different skill levels and tastes. The fifth hole is Willodell Golf Club's most difficult par 3 with trees right and left and a frontal bunker that forces a full carry to the green, which is also bunkered on both sides with grassy lateral hazards that sit beyond the sand.

Starter was terrible
We arrived at the course about an hour early. We checked in, and were told to check with stater when we were ready. About 40 minutes prior to our tee time, we checked in with the starter, who told us at the time that he was waiting on couple people, then we could go. So we sat there and waited, and waited. About 30 minutes in, not one person had teed off, yet we weren't allowed to tee off, and all 4 of us were there ready to play. We decided to talk to the stater, who started rambling on about how awful GolfNow is, that he doesn't make any money from GolfNow, how we all arrive hours early and expect to get on early, etc etc. We then expressed our displeasure, we were there only 45 minutes early, and NOT ONE person had teed off. How was he making ANY money at that point if no one was there ready to tee off. And that if he let us on prior, then the 2:00 tee time would be freed up for any potential walk ons. Terrible course management. So we patiently waited for our tee time. Left a very bad impression, too the point where I wouldn't recommend this course to anyone, and doubt we will play there again. I mean if you don't like GolfNow, that's your prerogative, and he should cancel their deal. But to take it out on the customer, that's just terrible customer service and terrible business practice!!

Usually play here 2-3 times per year but first visit this summer. Like the course layout and level of challenge.
Some greens were rough ; folks fix your ball marks please. Several tee boxes were chewed up as well. However enjoyed the round and will try to get back before end of season

Would like to play this course again when it's not raining, got rained out after 15 holes after waiting 30 min after 8 holes

Experience was tainted because it rained for a large portion of the day. Course was in good shape, greens roll quickly and true
Just to slow..
A decent mid value course. It is not the best or the worst in the area. However, the pace of play was abysmal a wait on every hole.

Great time to golf
Even thought the mens league was playing, we had a lovely golf day...Course is in great shape
Course maintenance
At the beginning of the season when the course was extremely wet. carts were allowed, and they damaged fhe course causing extremely large ruts, holes, a few were repaired, but a lot were just left.
The course has now dried out, but the course needs a lot of repairs, dead trees were supposed to be removed, but only a few were taken down.
On a positive note the staff are excellent., very helpful.
The clubhouse and food are very good as are the restaurant staff..
It is not an easy course and other than the ruts it could be an excellent course.

Overrated reviews
Was expecting more from a 4 star rating. Played solo and got stuck behind a 12 player tournament. They wouldn’t let me play through... marshal was fully aware and didn’t do anything. Course was extremely wet and sprinklers were still going as I was going through the fairways. Not worth the price.

Average at best
Haven't played here in a few years. Greens are good and roll true. Fairways need some work. The round was ok but this course good be so much better with some work
