About
Willodell Golf Club of Niagara is neighbored by Lyon Creek to one side and Tee Creek to the other. The championship layout sprawls across rolling hills covered with mature trees, which border the undulating fairways. Several ponds and two creeks come into play on 10 holes. There are numerous strategically placed bunkers to contend with in addition to the water hazards. The layout features a mix of driving holes, strategic holes, and some tough par 3s. Being so diverse, the golf course appeals to a range of different skill levels and tastes. The fifth hole is Willodell Golf Club's most difficult par 3 with trees right and left and a frontal bunker that forces a full carry to the green, which is also bunkered on both sides with grassy lateral hazards that sit beyond the sand.

Course was very wet and found that the grounds did not have very good drainage. There was also a lot of ruts from the wet conditions on the course.
Pace of play slow due to tournament
Bought a hot deal so good value for money and rough was a little long! Took a while to find ur ball.

Swamp Conditions
My poor review had more to do with Mother Nature than the golf course. I have played here numerous times and love the course. Although it's not the golf courses fault and I know they have to make money. Carts should not have been allowed out for the day. They are going to have a challenge repairing all the damage that was caused because of the wet grounds. I honestly believe the course should have been closed for the day. When I saw on Golfnow that carts were permitted, I assumed they had a dedicated path. Not the case. My heart goes out the the maintenance staff for the future work they will have to endure. It was extremely soaked out there. Good luck guys. Greens were absolutely amazing as usual though. Some of the best greens around.
Freindly Pro Shop Staff
Forgot my putter and the staff gave me a lender. All staff, pros, restaurant and back shop are all friendly.
Course was very wet but not anyone's fault.... has rained for weeks.... This is a good value for the money course. And the restaurant food is worth staying around for.
Under water
The course was under water. I understand they need to make money, however the course will most likely need time to dry and massive amounts of repair work.

An enjoyable course
This is the second time playing course and I really enjoy it. It has it challenges with bunkers and dog legs, but allows a person who doesn't hit a long ball to still have an enjoyable game. My wife is a beginner and was able to break 100 for her second time this year. You do have to hit a straight ball because the trees lining the fairway can really goof you up if you are in them. The staff is very friendly and the course is well maintained. I would recommend it to anyone.
Unknown gem
Nice course, excellent condition. Not particularly complicated, but still enough of a challenge that the average golfer will learn some respect!

Willodell - Good value for the dollar
I’ve pretty much always liked Willodell. The conditions are consistently good and the holes challenging, but fair. Definitely worth the price I got on Golf Now.
