Willodell Golf Club of Niagara
About
Willodell Golf Club of Niagara is neighbored by Lyon Creek to one side and Tee Creek to the other. The championship layout sprawls across rolling hills covered with mature trees, which border the undulating fairways. Several ponds and two creeks come into play on 10 holes. There are numerous strategically placed bunkers to contend with in addition to the water hazards. The layout features a mix of driving holes, strategic holes, and some tough par 3s. Being so diverse, the golf course appeals to a range of different skill levels and tastes. The fifth hole is Willodell Golf Club's most difficult par 3 with trees right and left and a frontal bunker that forces a full carry to the green, which is also bunkered on both sides with grassy lateral hazards that sit beyond the sand.

Course is in Great shape
It's hard to find a value course which is in such great shape but Willodell is it. The greens were immaculate and fairways the same. I've played in Niagara for many years including Willowdell and this has to be the best shape I've ever seen the course in. Add the friendly greetings we received and you have the perfect combination of play and fun. Be sure to try this one.
Beautiful but lacks variety
Willodell is a pleasing course with very wide fairways, and approachable and forgiving greens. The variety of tees provided golfers with an opportunity to play from different lengths. Overall, the course lacks creativity. Many of the holes are straight away and lack challenge. More sand traps and re-configuring some holes would add badly needed variety. It was an enjoyable, stress free round of golf which would have been made better if more thinking was required.
Hi Bobby04,

Good value for the money
Fun course to play. The front nine was the back nine as I discovered on my Garmin GPS. Friendly staff. Under 4 hrs on a Friday morning.
Thank you for your review. We are so happy to hear that you had fun at Willodell and enjoyed great customer service. We hope to see you again soon!
Great Course.
Willo-Dell was in excellent shape.
Hi Mike2140313,
Thank you for your review and for choosing Willodell Golf Club. We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed the conditions of the course. We hope to have you back again soon!
Nice Track
I'd consider this an upper middle of the road kind of course. Good layout, with some hidden water hazards and some small creeks. Tree lined fairways make this a tough course if you spray the ball off the tee. Greens are sizable and fair. Overall it's a better course than some better known ones in the area.
Hi Aceseeker,
Thank you for choosing Willodell! We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed the layout of the course. We hope to have you back again soon!
Great course to work on the long game
We had a windy day and the course was in expected condition for late in the season. Tough day but managed to go low and enjoy the round.

The course was in good shape for November. The fairways where to close as we where just about hit with errant balls
Great game at Willowdale links
Fantastic course. Good vale for money, super friendly staff.
Course in great conditions
See you next summer!
This is a nice track! The first 14 holes are fairly straight forward. A mix of 3's, 4's & 5's that pretty much go straight back and forth without much ado! There is some water(mostly unseen) and some fairly large traps on a few holes. The latter half of the back nine is when things really get interesting. The landscape gets curvy and the degree of tee shot challenge increases.
We played this course late in the season with leaves a plenty and as a result lost a few balls that were just off the fairway. The greens were decent, even though they were aerated recently. The food & beverage left little to be desired. No Canadian craft beer? A decent sandwich fell short due to some rather soft white bread(late in the season was the reason....like bread has a season)! The facility was rather nice and comfortable overall as were the staff. The practice facility was closed the previous day, so, I suppose I will need to come back next summer and get the whole experience. Lol
We did come from Hamilton and after little debate, it was decided that we would definitely return next season to see this track in it's prime! Cheers!
Great deal
I have played here many times. It is priced very fairly. The course is somewhat forgiving. The par 3s are some of the best you'll play! Typically the pace of play is good.
Great course
Unfortuneately this otherwise great course was under aeration conditions.
Great course
Course in good shape good round green fairly fast
Overall enjoyed the course
Good Niagara Pick
We played in the gale brought in by hurricane Joaquin so the course was pretty empty. But we had a great time and enjoyed the course. Challenging enough for low handicappers and can be short enough for the shorter hitters. Course was in excellent shape and they took care of the fall leaves too. Would recommend for those visiting the Niagara area.
wilodell sept 15
course in good shape ,greens excellent not too speedy staff good although wanted to buy spikes not much selection. Beer price resonable on course. Will play there again
Willodell Golf Course
The course is extremely dry and ball rolls for ever. The greens are the concrete pads (in desperation of some water), so the approach shots even with the wedges is a challenge. In defence to the course I must say that the greens are fast and sand bunkers are in decent shape, the rest of it is very mediocre.
Fun Time
Great Greens .. playable traps ... some tricky holes where you would like a member with you,
had a good time
I wish Niagara courses would have water on the courses .. HOT and Thirsty ...
Nice Course
I enjoyed the round and left the course feeling like I got value for my money. Nothing stood out as awesome and nothing said not very good. The course has a few challenging holes but nothing to test a great golfer. Course opens with two par 5's, both reachable in two, for the low handicapper. If you drive the ball straight you will enjoy a nice scoring day.
Fair, best case, middle of the road course
A lot more pleasant to walk than ride. Fairways jump the cart around a lot, bumpy.
Very nice course
Course was in great shape, greens were very true and fast. Pro shop employees were great, clubhouse super clean. Overall nice day on a good course
