About
Located in a spectacular natural setting against the backdrop of the Niagara River whirlpool and gorge, this magnificent and challenging championship course was designed by the legendary golf architect Stanley Thompson. Owned and operated by The Niagara Parks Commission since 1951, Whirlpool is considered as one of the Top 100 Courses in Canada.
Directions: From Toronto: Approach Niagara Falls on the QEW. Just after crossing the St. Catharines Skyway, take the 405 exit towards the Queenston-Lewiston Bridge to the USA. Just before the bridge, take the last exit to the Niagara Parkway. Turn right off the ramp onto the Niagara Parkway. Whirlpool Golf Course is 4km down the road on the right hand side

Good course - terrible drainage
I've played this course multiple times throughout the past couple years and while it's a nice course and challenging, the drainage is terrible. We barely got any rain the past few days and the fairways were soaked with puddles. You get no rollout from drives at all.
Other than that, the course is nice and challenging.
Pleasant course
Fairways were very well conditioned, rough was not long but sticky. Course is long from regular tees, a little too short from next tees up. Pretty but not a lot of variety in the holes. No restaurant this year really disappointing.
Nice Public Course
This course is in a lovely setting and is in great shape. It is neither particularly long nor difficult, with wide, generally straight fairways. The greens are fairly fast, although not as fast as the best courses. All-in-all an enjoyable round, although the day was brutally hot!
It was a great day my wife thought it was a pretty nice course and we will definitely play it again
Conditions
Tee box, fairways and greens were perfect . The rough could use a few chemicals to kill off the clover . Starter and other staff were very friendly
Too many helicopters
Beautiful course but the noise from the helicopters flying overhead constantly took away from this course.
More expected
Not the courses fault but my buds back home hyped up the course. Found the outward 9 was so so, more interesting on the inward 9.
Fabulous Course
This is such a nice course and for as many times as I've played this, I've never been disappointed....... Fairways are lush and the ball always sits up nicely. Bunkers are really nice with the sand being nice and fluffy. Greens are really nice with the ball rolling at a nice speed.
Staff was very friendly and the pace of play was nice as well.... Will definitely be looking forward to playing this again soon!
Love This Course
I've played Whirlpool numerous times and I continue to enjoy it each and every time I play it. The course was in superb condition from top to bottom. Fairways were pristine and greens were excellent with nice roll to each and every green.
The staff are very friendly and very helpful. The restaurant is really nice with a great view of the 18th hole depending upon where you're seated.
I would not hesitate to go back here one iota and recommend it to all my golf buddies!
Nice golf course
Overall it was an enjoyable day. Course conditions were decent, the course definitely needs rain.
Not sure I would return at $80 a round.
