About
Located in a spectacular natural setting against the backdrop of the Niagara River whirlpool and gorge, this magnificent and challenging championship course was designed by the legendary golf architect Stanley Thompson. Owned and operated by The Niagara Parks Commission since 1951, Whirlpool is considered as one of the Top 100 Courses in Canada.
Directions: From Toronto: Approach Niagara Falls on the QEW. Just after crossing the St. Catharines Skyway, take the 405 exit towards the Queenston-Lewiston Bridge to the USA. Just before the bridge, take the last exit to the Niagara Parkway. Turn right off the ramp onto the Niagara Parkway. Whirlpool Golf Course is 4km down the road on the right hand side

A beautiful course played on a beautiful day! Course was well maintained. Friendly staff. Will definitely go back soon!
Great golf experience
From the time I arrived and including the golfing experience, the staff was friendly and helpful as I had never played here before. The course is forgiving with wide fairways. For a public course it was in pristine condition with very receptive greens. The only concern I have is that there are no marshals on the course to make sure that the pace of play is kept up and that slower players let others play thru. Awesome experience.

Fun course
Course was in great shape. They REALLY need to do something about the Whirlpool restaurant. Incredibly sad you can’t get food/drinks inside. It’s pretty expensive considering….

This is an amazing course, always challenging and reasonable to play
Whirlpool
Love the course. I'm an 18 handicapper so it's a fair test from the red tees. (Gold are the forward tees). The only negative is the tee boxes. Hard to get a level one.
Good course but plan on a slow round
Greens were a little slow course was firm and fast conditions were good. Pace of play was slower than I like at 4:45. 2 slow groups ahead held everyone up and no ranger to help move them along.
I will play again but calibrate my expectations on pace of play.
Great layout and course
Greens we’re a little slow but consistent.
Pace of play was close to 5 hours and we rarely saw a ranger. 3 holes open ahead of the group we followed.
Will go back again. Would recommend it to anyone that has time to play.

Well kept course
I like playing this course. It's a course that usually is in great shape. Of course, you end up paying a little more because it's in a tourist zone. But overall it is a really nice layout.
Fairly open, allowing for some wayward shots, but still has some challenging approaches.
A good test but choose your tees accordingly
A nicely conditioned parkland golf course - maybe ranked third of the three "Legends" courses. The only drawbacks were that there was no sand/divot repair bottles and there were lots of divots out there because very few people replaced their divots OR raked the sand traps.Lack of proper etiquette is hard to blame the course for though.
Overhead over much
Excellent course great layout we love the second hole. Only one serious problem is the incessant noise of the helicopters over head, not sure what can be done.
