About
Located in a spectacular natural setting against the backdrop of the Niagara River whirlpool and gorge, this magnificent and challenging championship course was designed by the legendary golf architect Stanley Thompson. Owned and operated by The Niagara Parks Commission since 1951, Whirlpool is considered as one of the Top 100 Courses in Canada.
Directions: From Toronto: Approach Niagara Falls on the QEW. Just after crossing the St. Catharines Skyway, take the 405 exit towards the Queenston-Lewiston Bridge to the USA. Just before the bridge, take the last exit to the Niagara Parkway. Turn right off the ramp onto the Niagara Parkway. Whirlpool Golf Course is 4km down the road on the right hand side

Beautiful condition. Fast paced
Played in 3 1/4 hrs. Love this beautiful course and it’s in perfect condition.
Great Time
Booked as a solo player and paired with a great group. Course is in great shape and a great Stanley Thompson design. No blue or gold tees but didn’t matter for our group. The one usual knock on this course, helicopters flying overhead, are a non-issue right now so GO PLAY! And enjoy!

great round of golf
the condition of the course was immaculate. there were grounds keepers throughout as we were playing.
Great Value
Course is in good condition. The staff have done a good job of making the facility safe but user friendly.
Old School Gem
A nice, challenging round from the white tees. Par 3s are tough. Greens were on the slow side, but rolled true. The wind swirls alot so take extra club for approach shots. Nice course, I will play again.
Great Track
What can you say about a Stanley Thompson? Of course the fairways were lined by trees. And more than once I had a side or downhill lie (or both) in the middle of the fairway. 2nd cut was fairly thick and more than once we lost a ball that was a gallery ball. Greens rolled pretty true. Pace a bit slow but better on back nine.
Play there NOW but no blue tees
Course is in great shape and the greens are great. Only thing that needs to be said is that the blue and gold tees need to be put out. And 2 markers on the decks don’t take any more time to put in.
But the main point is the course is in GREAT shape
Fastest Round I Ever Had Here
Don't know if it's because of COVID, but the place of play was 4 hrs. All the years of played here, the average is 5+ hrs. Conditions (fairway, greens, tee box, & some sand traps) were excellent. Staff has done a great job getting the course in prime condition.
