I always love playing it here one of my best course

Always a pleasure to return to this Stanley Thompson-designed gem on the Niagara Parkway along the gorge leading to Niagara Falls. Starter and pro shop staff could not have been friendlier. However, no one to help take clubs out of car or load clubs on cart. Condition of course was only fair. Fairways are not cut very short and are really hacked up with divots, not surprising for a busy public track.

First time playing this challenging course. It was in very good condition with nicely manacured fairways and greens that were true and fast. Am looking forward to my next round

Lots of numbers that can cause you all kinds of trouble

The coarse was in good condition. Greens were in very nice shape and putted consistently.. A great park coarse with beauty and nature.

I found the fairways and greens to be in top shape.Access from cart paths to greens very accessible.The staff was very polite and courteous .Course layout was good easy to get from one hole to the next .Over all a good experience and definitely would play again.

Unbelievable slow pace of play. They have a starter who does nothing. They let me out as a single behind 3 full groups. Took me 2:30 to play the front alone cause none of the groups would let anyone faster passed them.

Played on a Monday afternoon (3 pm) and played in 3 hrs 45 min - excellent pace of play. I had played here about 30 years ago but only remembered one hole (2nd hole). We played at Whirlpool because Grand Niagara had no availability. We generally play Grand Niagara once or twice a year, so we looked forward to Whirlpool. Although we enjoyed playing it, it's a good notch BELOW Grand Niagara in terms of conditions and maintenance and layout. The bunkers at Whirlpool were disappointing, especially fairway bunkers. The greens were in great shape but quite slow. Although we enjoyed our round, we agreed that Grand Niagara was significantly better and would much rather play there. Whirlpool has some nice vistas and is a well laid out course by Stanley Thompson but could be much better with some TLC and better conditioning. This may not be possible being a municipal course. Very good pro shop staff as well as other staff (starters area & wait staff on patio deck for dinner).

I love going to play this course. Every summer for the last 5 years. Only problem is pace of play. Two foresomes in front for me as single and they didn’t let me play through till 11. It shouldn’t take 2 1/2 hours to play the front.

Excellent course, it’s a beautiful Stanley Thompson design. The course is in amazing condition, the greens are best that I’ve seen them. Finished 18 in just under 4 hours, and that was with a full tee sheet. Always a pleasure to play, highly recommended...

The course was in great condition,so much fun to play. Well worth the trip,will go back!!

Enormous greens with a fine speed. Good and long par 3s.
