About
Located in a spectacular natural setting against the backdrop of the Niagara River whirlpool and gorge, this magnificent and challenging championship course was designed by the legendary golf architect Stanley Thompson. Owned and operated by The Niagara Parks Commission since 1951, Whirlpool is considered as one of the Top 100 Courses in Canada.
Directions: From Toronto: Approach Niagara Falls on the QEW. Just after crossing the St. Catharines Skyway, take the 405 exit towards the Queenston-Lewiston Bridge to the USA. Just before the bridge, take the last exit to the Niagara Parkway. Turn right off the ramp onto the Niagara Parkway. Whirlpool Golf Course is 4km down the road on the right hand side

Very friendly staff. Course in excellent shape. Good variety of holes and tees for any level of golfer.

Lucky to live in the area played this course so many times and I make sure to play few rounds every year . Pace of game was slow last time but that was the first time .

So noisy
This golf course is nearby the heliport. The helicopters flying around was so noisy and disturbing.
Sorry about the helicopters, unfortunately we don't have any control over where and how often they fly.
ANOTHER GREAT ROUND
This is a great course to play. Very well groomed fairways and the greens were excellent and true. We had a 7:54 am start but the starter let us go early teeing off on the back nine first. The pace was great, we weren't being pushed nor were we on the heels of anyone in front of us. Well worth the money to play this course. Just wish they had a snack bar open when we hit the turn.

Nice golf experience
Classic golf layout, fun to play with just enough challenge. The fringes of the course aren't what they used to be however the overall course is in very good condition. Go play!

I would play it anytime!
Coming from Oakville (approx 1 hour) the course was great. Was greeted at pro shop with enthusiasm! Starter gave us a few tips that helped.... only complaint was the greens were recently punched and we were not informed when round was booked. I am a 18 handicap and my two friends are scratch and 7. I played whites while they played blue front and gold back...... otherwise a really nice course and fantastic club house patio indoor and outdoor

Not worth the miney
Over priced and not very exciting. Most holes were similar, the par 3’s were too long. Would not go here again.
Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the course. We have 2 other 18-hole courses at Legends on the Niagara that may fit your game better.

Course is in fantastic condition, the greens have come in nicely since the last round here and are holding approach shots much better.

Challenging course - too many helicopters
Great course, nice mix of par 3 and 5s. A bit long for us amateurs. Found the constant noise of the helicopters annoying and distracting.
Sorry about the helicopters, unfortunately they are run by another company and we have no control over them. I hope you'll visit us again this summer
Whirlpool...the Hidden Gem of Niagara Parks
I love this golf course. It is my second favorite of the three excellent Niagara Parks courses (Ussher's Creek being the first) and it may be the hardest of the three.
It plays long, especially in the wind and it is a challenging layout. Hit fairways and you will be rewarded...miss them and be ready to make bogey or worse.
Greens are in good shape and the course is in the best overall shape that it has been in since Pierre Trudeau was PM of Canada!
Niagara Parks may very well run the three best Munis in the world. Amazing job here at Whirlpool folks and I can't wait to get back!

We enjoy the layout of the course
We have played more than once, and we never had a complaint. The area is relaxing, even with the helicopters overhead.

Good day at Whirlpool
Perfect weather conditions. Course in good condition tee to green. Greens quite patchy and haven't grown in yet. Still early in the season but always enjoy playing this course.

Blue tees/white tees
We played from the blue tees and I must say that it makes it long for the average golfer. Par 3s especially. I’m going back to whites next time I’m there.
Glad to hear you enjoyed the course and yes the par 3's are tough from the blue tees! The architect, Stanley Thompson was always known to create difficult par 3's.
