Whirlpool Golf Course

This course has a good layout but the noise is unbelievable. Helicopter tours flying over the course every 5 minutes sometimes we could not hear each other for that reason only would not return. still have a headache from the noise....

Course I very good shape. Bit tough from the blues though.

Wonderful layout by Stephen Thompson; lots of varieties; greens excellent condition; good pace of play : 4 hours 10 minutes.

The only negative were the two or three helicopters above making a non stop racket.

Grounds keeping stands out making the course one of the very best on the in the population of courses resident on the Canadian Niagara escarpment. So don't spend all your time in the casino get and play this wonderful course.

Course extremely busy, which was slow playing however knew this from start, did not let this affect a good day

Played with my wife and friends. The staff was extremely friendly and the course was exceptional.

The fairways were a little shaggy (played preferred lies)...but the greens were in great shape...always a pleasure to play this track...

We found the course was in great shape....a bit toooo wet in some places. We found, as other reviewers have noted, that there were many, many ballmarks on the greens. We tried to fix three or four on each green. We found the bunkers had very little sand in the bottoms but plenty on the side slopes....so it was hard to make a good shot.....something for the superintendent to think about.....work on those bunkers.

The Stanley Thompson course was a joy to play...

Course in fantastic condition, pace of play was a bit slow mainly because tee times were fully booked. Still a great day and has always been one of my favourite courses.

Course was in great shape..staff very friendly and accomadating...value definitely there and I would recommend it to anyone

I have been playing this golf course for 25 years including during my time as an employee on the grounds crew. I was a part of the process for course prep during the years that this course hosted the " Niagara Classic " CPGA event. . Having said that, the condition of this course in September 2017 is possibly the best I have seen or played. The greens are lush, true and rolling at speeds that this course has not seen since hosting the classic. Excellent job by the course superintendent and his staff. This course has done a complete 180 from a few years ago. A must play!

Whirpool was highly rated and fell short.

Very nice greens but rest of course average.

Sand traps very hard, tee boxes beat up.

Not a lot of imagination on layout.

We had a large group in front of us and pace of play was very slow. We played the front twice to be able to finish in a reasonable time.

Huge elevated greens test your golfing skills and your club selection

Enjoyed the course and while very busy we played in just over 4 hours. Nice mix of holes and course was in excellent condition. Greens were a little hard and difficult to read for first timers. But the course was. Era fair and some fun holes, like number 2.

The staff were incredibly friendly and the value was excellent. There is a goose poop issue, especially on the first tee. The helicopters overhead are super noisy and one of our foursome found them distracting. I was hoping for better views but the course was pretty.

Loved the course with friendly staff and a challenging layout. So challenging in fact that we missed the turn to # 6 and tried to play #8. Eight had no signage so we wandered in the dark for a minute or two. Duh!

Would also be nice to have some yardage indication on the par fours.
