About
Located in a spectacular natural setting against the backdrop of the Niagara River whirlpool and gorge, this magnificent and challenging championship course was designed by the legendary golf architect Stanley Thompson. Owned and operated by The Niagara Parks Commission since 1951, Whirlpool is considered as one of the Top 100 Courses in Canada.
Directions: From Toronto: Approach Niagara Falls on the QEW. Just after crossing the St. Catharines Skyway, take the 405 exit towards the Queenston-Lewiston Bridge to the USA. Just before the bridge, take the last exit to the Niagara Parkway. Turn right off the ramp onto the Niagara Parkway. Whirlpool Golf Course is 4km down the road on the right hand side

Great deal with Golfnow
No food services except in pro shop- which turned out to be excellent! Fresh pre-made sandwiches , and good coffee! Thanks !
Great track!
Yes, the tourist helicopters are overhead constantly. No big deal. It's a TOUGH track because it's narrow-ish, and the trees on both sides are punishing. I didn't loose any balls, but I was completely blocked by trees on at least 4 holes, so accuracy off the tee is important here. Greens are good, challenging but not crazy by any means. Definitely possible to avoid 3 putts on a round. Overall, I had a great day out and since it was end of October the course was quiet. I'd image it gets very busy in the summer. Oh, only downside, there's no warm up range.
Great course spoiled by the rain and cold
Course was in great shape, as usual. Not very busy due to the weather. Foursome of young guys let my wife and I play through on the 3rd hole. Didn't stop until it rained on #12. Didn't mind because we had a great deal on GolfNow. Play this course whenever we're in the area. Love it!
Very nice
Oldie but goodie, in really nice shape for late October. Greens healed, quick but not too fast. Leaves under control. Would play again tomorrow if the weather wasn't about to turn.

Nice Course
Good day. This course is always in great shape. You will hear helicopters all day long though. But its by the falls so......
Go play the course, you won't regret it.
Bonus round
Course in wind down mode. No starters, marshalls, beverage cart. Greens lightly aerated.
The season is winding down but we hope to be open until mid-late November if this beautiful weather continues!
Still one of the best in the region
Was quite windy on this day but the course is in great condition. Staff here are always friendly & accommodating. Usually allow you to start before the scheduled tee time. This has been one of my favourite courses over all the years that I have played.

great course great staff one of the top courses in the region
The course is in great shape now. . It becomes difficult in the 50 km winds .however the fairway s and the greens were in prime shape.
This course must be played by golfers who enjoy a challenge.

bFavourite Niagara area course
I try to get out here at least 3 or 4 times a season. I played twice this month, Oct 1 and Oct 16. This is a great Stanley Thompson designed track...a great old style design. The course is still in great shape considering it's mid-October. The fairways were a bit soggy yesterday, resulting in a few "fat" shots but we were still able ride out to our balls. (90° rule). Greens were in nice shape. It wasn't busy but it was a fairly chilly Monday. Not many leaves on the course for mid-October, but then again, a lot of the trees are pines. People complain about the helicopters but I've played here enough times that I've learned to tune them out. :)
Staff is great here, always treat us very well. Excellent restaurant too! Great food! Can't wait for next season!

Play was too slow
In the past I had really enjoyed playing this course. Yesterday the pace of play was too slow and because of wet conditions it was cart path only.
Too bad there were no Marshall s on the course to keep it moving.
