Located in a spectacular natural setting against the backdrop of the Niagara River whirlpool and gorge, this magnificent and challenging championship course was designed by the legendary golf architect Stanley Thompson. Owned and operated by The Niagara Parks Commission since 1951, Whirlpool is considered as one of the Top 100 Courses in Canada.
Directions: From Toronto: Approach Niagara Falls on the QEW. Just after crossing the St. Catharines Skyway, take the 405 exit towards the Queenston-Lewiston Bridge to the USA. Just before the bridge, take the last exit to the Niagara Parkway. Turn right off the ramp onto the Niagara Parkway. Whirlpool Golf Course is 4km down the road on the right hand side

Huge elevated greens test your golfing skills and your club selection
Wonderful course
Enjoyed the course and while very busy we played in just over 4 hours. Nice mix of holes and course was in excellent condition. Greens were a little hard and difficult to read for first timers. But the course was. Era fair and some fun holes, like number 2.

Good with a couple of reservations.
The staff were incredibly friendly and the value was excellent. There is a goose poop issue, especially on the first tee. The helicopters overhead are super noisy and one of our foursome found them distracting. I was hoping for better views but the course was pretty.

Directionally Challenged
Loved the course with friendly staff and a challenging layout. So challenging in fact that we missed the turn to # 6 and tried to play #8. Eight had no signage so we wandered in the dark for a minute or two. Duh!
Would also be nice to have some yardage indication on the par fours.

Playing after the effects of hurricane Harvey
we loved the layout . The greens were a little slow due to the weather . Although the geese were beautiful there poop was not . The fairways were really in bad shape we had to move our ball from time to time . Over all a beautiful course and very delightful personnel .

This course is a must play Niagara Course...forget about the other ones until this one is under your belt....classic design.

course was in good shape
it had rained prior to the game so there were areas where water had pooled but that was only a minor inconvenience

It is a gem of a course. Beautiful traditional park layout. Great staff. Love this track.
Great course
Beautiful well maintained course. Excellent staff. Very flexible. Good restaurant near club house. Overall a great golfing experience.
Not like I remembered
Feels like the course is not being kept up. Grooming, greens and grass care was not nearly good enough. Things like stairs and railings look like they have not seen a coat of paint in more than 10 years. I was surprised the course didn't have more of a polished feel.

Enjoyed our annual trip to Play Whirlpool . Course was in great condition. Pin locations on par fours were a challenge but enjoyed the smooth putting conditions. Great course in a lively tourist destination ...Niagara Falls.

The Granddaddy of Niagara
For many years this has been the best public course in the Niagara area. It has recovered from some problems that were weather related in the past and is in top notch condition.
