Great course!
My first time there was amazing! Course was in great shape! Challenging for me being first time. The different elevations make it unique! Will definitely go again and recommend to friends!

Foliage season golf
Great day at Hockley Valley - course was in superb shape . Fall colors make this course a high lite during the fall season .- every hole is a post card. The course offers a challenge to all skill levels . I would recommend Hockley valley to anyone . If you don't shoot a good score ... the scenery is terrific .
Amazing Fall Golf at Hockley Valley
Amazingly beautiful morning even with rain forecasted all day, staff was very accommodating especially since I booked the tee time less than 30 minutes prior and played so fast that I paid the cart fee for another 18 holes. Great day!
Absolutely great service
I informed the marshal we only had time to play 9 holes. He called the clubhouse to ask a marshal to guide us to the 10th hole. For those of you who haven't played Hockley before, the 10th is the farthest point from the clubhouse. We had the buffet breakfast first before playing and it was excellent although it's $30 per person. Overall great service that will make me return to play agin.
Scenic golf course.
I always love playing here at Hockley.
Enjoyable but yet challenging at the same time.
Views are just amazing, especially when your on the elevated tee boxes. You just have to stop and admire the fall colors.
Make sure to take a few pics, some great backdrops can be used on the course.
Although it was a bit cool, but it's the time of the year.
Great course
Fabulous golf course with fantastic views. Would have been better if the halfway house was open and a beverage cart to help the thirsty patrons.
Recomended
Played this course for many years, its always been a pleasure to play..
Not maintained
Beautiful layout but the course has not been well maintained. The greens are extremely small. To look at this course in pictures is very deceiving because it doesn't show all the bare patches that the course has which is very disappointing because the course layout and scenery are stunning. To make matters worse, we waited on every hole for the group in front of us (not sure if they were holding things up) yet we still had the Marshall telling us to speed up every few holes. Our round took 5.5 hours. I've been playing golf for over twenty years yet this beautiful course has been run down because it seems like it is managed very well.
Over Hill and Dale
I played this course yesterday, and all I can say to start with is Wow! This is a very hilly course, full of challenges and opportunities to satisfy even the most experienced golfer. On the front nine, you will find yourself using most of, if not all the clubs in your bag, as the variety of the topography will demand a different tee shot and approach from hole to hole. On the back nine you will have a chance to use your irons and woods to tee off from elevated positions of different height on nearly every hole. This was a fun time with only one caveat; bring your "A" game and a few extra balls in case your shot goes " Over Hill and Dale".
Fun day of golf
Set in the Caledon Hills northwest of Toronto, this was a very different kind of golf for me. Elevated tees, rolling fairways and undulating greens more than make up for no sand and very little water. Course knowledge certainly helps here as there are some blind shots. It is not unfair but is can be challenging, particularly from the tips. Autumn golf with fall colours is spectacular. I found the rough to be a little thick. The first and eighteenth had a little water damage both being the lowest holes on the course. Otherwise I really enjoyed my day at Hockley.
fun time
A challenging course with lots to see and enjoy. Definitely feel like your in the country.
The Resort in the North
What the most amazing feature of this course is how difficult it plays with the lack of bunkers and water hazards. The signature of this design is the change in elevations, and the greens so neatly tucked away. Certainly lost a few balls in the rough, as it is very thick but the fairways were clean. Would recommend the use of a cart otherwise expect to be "climbing" throughout the round. Par 5's were reasonably long but not impossible to hit in two, if you know where to aim. Par 3's were all on an elevated tee box, which can be deceiving when selecting the correct club. Pace of play was wonderful as we golfed on a Monday morning, but can see it being slower on a weekend due to volume. Resort amenities are wonderful with a full formal dining area and bar along with all standard resort offerings. Green fees are fair and if using a golfnow.com tee time will increase the value for dollar tremendously. In closing, I would certainly recommend Hockley Valley, especially for someone looking for a "different" style of course.
