Hockley Valley Resort

had a great day out, course in great shape for start of season, as I am a beginner I found the course a challenge, but would come back again in mid season, to see how much or less I have improved.

Great course, Great staff, Great views.

A must play course for all golfers.

Wow the course was fantastic and in great condition.

The condition of the greens were great. .great value..

For a course that does not have water or sand bunkers that come in to play , still not an easy course. .

Very fun course to play. Not a single boring hole. Very well maintained. The guy at the desk was super friendly. Had such a good time we ended up playing 36 holes that day. We expect to be regulars.

This is without a doubt one of my favorite course to play "BUT" they really need to marshal this course better..
For the 2nd time this year I have had a 5+hour round of golf at Hockley Valley and once again because of "1" group that seemed to think that they were the only ones on the course. They completely ignored our requests to speed up.
From the 11 tee to the 18th we would have 3 groups waiting on the tee. Playing in the fall you have limited day light to play. The Group behind us couldn't finish. ( we tee'd off at 1:30 pm s/b plenty of time)

When I mentioned this to staff afterwards I was met with a "oh yeah.. I heard it was slow.."

Extremely frustrating. Not going back this year

Course was in great shape, staff very pleasant...unfortunately, access to tees and greens difficult for walking challenged

A challenging course, amazing scenario. Very polite staff, and a great time for a reasonable price if you use Golf Norths prepaid deals. Beverages are on the pricey side.

Great course.... nice nice views. Elevation change a challenge ! Recommend as one time treat .

Hockley Valley presents wonderful scenery and some considerable / dramatic elevation changes, plenty of blind shots and some extremely undulating greens! Makes for quite the spectacle...that is, until you look at your scorecard! One thing is for sure when playing Hockley Valley - you better hit it straight!! There is not much room for error and very little forgiveness for stray shots. Having said that, well worth the drive and great visuals every which way!

Great overall. Long trek to get their from Niagara region but it is worth it. 7:50am tee off so pace of play was excellent, but can't rate beverage or half way house stuff because they were closed. Halfway house conveniently located and you pass it twice on 5 and 12.

Course conditions were great. Stripes cut, ruff correct length. Tee boxes were elevated. Only flat tees are #1 and #18. Rest has uphill, downhill, rolling hills, fescue, perfectly situated into the natural surroundings. Decent amount of blind shots, second time around will be easier.

Undulating and some small greens make placement very important. Fairways narrow at some key spots and you really need to know club distances and keep her in play.

Friendly staff and Marshall. Will for sure be back with some friends. Again, a bit of a hike to get their from Niagara but it is well worth it.

Only complaints are grounds crew obliviously cutting the grass (it is the AM so not really bothered) but they do no stop. Just keep on cutting. Would be nice once they see the golfer to at least stop.

Other issue is some really steep curves on path and inclines/declines. They really should put up some kind of barrier around some of the turns. Must go slow or bye bye.

Beautiful views blind tee shots so course would be easier the second time. shot a hole in one so fond memories

Great course, challenging enough but not too difficult. Lots of elevation changes, great sloping greens and great views!

Fantastic golf course for my wife and I to play together without being paired up. My wife started golf at the end of last year and she is really finding golf extremely fun sports. Only downfall is that she is not comfortable to play with other people yet. We have booked through Golf Now three times and at all times the golf course starter and staff were helpful.

Our golf 4-some has played here 2-3 times per year, for the past 20+ years. It is really unique with its huge elevation changes, and super-interesting design - each hole is different and some are extremely challenging. Ranks as the most difficult course to walk that I have ever played (I only did that once on this course) - because of the elevation changes. Conditions uniformly excellent although the recent dry spell in the area has resulted in some brown spots on the fairway, here and there. The day we played we got a great deal from GolfNow and, with no one in front of us throughout the round, we finished in 4 hours. We will keep coming back.

Undulating greens and fairways make for an interesting and challenging round of golf. Elevation changes require careful consideration of club choice. Our foursome played in 4.5 hours which is the course rated pace. Challenging and enjoyable.

Wasn't nearly in the shape I thought it would be tee decks were hard and not a lot of grass greens were ok at best

Thankfully I was paired up with a father and son who had played the course just recently. There are a number of blind shots on this course so course knowledge is key. Think that this level of a resort should have GPS included; that would be extremely helpful. Fairways and greens are in great shape, large amount of slope on the greens. A couple of the tee decks were pretty rough but all in all; great value for your dollar here at Hockley

Lots of fun and great views with all the elevation changes. Needs a driving range to get a proper warm up.

Great challenging course. Bring lots of balls. Course is well maintained If you are a beginner may be not the course for you. Nice resort but pricey. Course is very hilly and requires correct club choice and placement of ball.

Staff ,course and conditions were all great,.Would love to play again especially in the fall when fall colors are in full display,as the view is fantastic.Played with a buddy from Michigan,he said definately comparable to their northern top courses,pretty good rating,huh.
