Play a morning round and enjoy the great view of the niagara escarpment

Do not plan to walk this course. A cart is a must. There are no flat surfaces on this course. Beautiful back drop of the Niagara escarpment.

Don't let the fact that there is no sand and little water fool you.

This is a tough course for a resort course - quite tight in most places. You surely could not walk it - you would need to be a billy goat. But it is a nice layout in the valley, with many great views. The greens were very slow, but in good shape, and true. Was surprised (and a little disappointed) that this course is not part of the OGA, and therefore is not rated.

This course challenges the player to manage his/her game well

This time greens were excellent and very challenging. No surprise aeration. Staff are super helpful and friendly. Stay away from refreshment cart....prices over the top! Will go back again and again as the course has drawn me into the fight with it. It can make you feel real good, then eat you up and spit you out. Loved the experience

Very green, lots of elevation changes

This course is a challenge. Multi tier greens, elevated tee shots. Overall it was in fairly good shape. You need those gas carts for the hills. Some blind shots you need to refer to the score card to understand the hole.

The carts paths needs some work, and some often travelled areas are worn.

Hilly target golf course with thick rough

Great scenic views. Challenging layout. Greens and tee boxes need attention, however this month has been very rainy in this area.

poor greens

Course should notify GolfNow of aeration early/mid-May so that it could be posted on website. Greens were slow and bumpy.
Play this course a few times a year because of the challenging design. Regular rates too expensive but good value at Golfnow rates.

This course is VERY SCENIC

Hockley Valley Resort is a MUST play!!! It is set amonst the rolling hills of Hockley and some vistas are just magnificent. A true links course...hit a poor shot and you ARE penalized for it. All the par 3's have extreme elevation changes and depending on wind, can be a 5 or 6 club difference from day to day. Overall, a GEM!!

nicely maintained

Challenging course with many elevations and slopes , must play few times to fully enjoy it, windy weather was no help and having ball on fairway is great as is hard to find in grass off the fairway, but had a good time and will play it again .

spectacular views and scenery on this course.

I came with my nephew to this course for the first time. We were absolutely the only ones on the course. We had a blast. Scenery is awsome. Course in pretty good shape. Price was great.

A nice course with a lot of elevation change.

Played just after they punched(aerated) the greens, would have liked to know that before I went out, but nonetheless we continued. First bunch of holes were nice with all the expected elevation changes. The layout was a bit confusing with signage sending you in every direction and the accesses to the greens for those riding in carts (which is everyone because it is card mandatory) were difficult to find. Felt like i walked more from the cart to the green then I would when walking another course. The 9th hole was a total mystery, a tee shot over some trees to an invisible fairway that ends about 180 yards out and turns around a hazard not marked or displayed. 10th hole couldnt find the black/gold tees and the confusion continued for the rest of the back. Not a good layout and not a good course for playing the first time. Would like to return just to get a fair shake now that I know where all the blind tee shots go. Overall I wouldnt pay full price for this, maybe spring or fall rates. Not a very friendly layout for those who are playing for the first time. Much better value for you buck out there, keep looking.

Great resort feeling

The course is in excellent condition! The entire staff, and course marshals really contribute to a great experience. This scenery is absolutely amazing, especially in the fall season with the changing of the leaves. Nice course!

Hockley Hilly

Even though green fees include a cart get ready some walking up and down hills and mounds to get to some tee blocks and greens. Not many flat lies on this course and firm quick greens.
Very lovely scenery. Will play again.

Great Day, Great Price, Beautiful Course

Fantastic views combined with tight fairways and huge elavation changes make for challenging and fun golf. I always enjoy playing here and Golf Now makes it quick and easy to book a time. I felt like golfing and 45 minutes later I was on the 1st tee. I'll be coming back to Hockley Valley in the near future.
