Otter Creek Golf Club
About
Otter Creek Golf Club is situated in the idyllic farm community of Otterville, Ontario, which is only a 30-minute drive from Woodstock. The rural landscape was formerly farm and tobacco fields, lending a unique, rustic character to the golf course. The layout sprawls across 300 acres, winding through the scenic, wooded valleys of Otter, Cedar, and Spittler Creeks. Dick Kirkpatrick, one of Canada's top golf course architects, designed Otter Creek Golf Club. Kirkpatrick designed the course with players of all skill levels in mind, incorporating minimal forced carries and six sets of tees to make it more accessible for those who are new to the game

Very enjoyable round. The fairways, tee offs and greens were very beautiful. Would like to see cleaner portable toilets out on the course. Good value for the money we spent.
otter creek still as good as always
You cant beat Otter Creek for a challenge on a nice golf course. Always an enjoyable day . Staff always cheerful and respectful. A treat for anyone who wants to wander to a semi-private setting.
Fairways and greens were good. Consistant bunkers. Fescue areas were a complete disaster. 4-5 weeds. Could never find your ball . Forget even trying to make any contact without wrecking your wrist. I played in spring before the weeds were over my head and enjoyed it. You could loose some of your playing partners in that stuff
Course conditions
Some of the shrub / natural growth is getting rather high at hazard edges, for example; 18th hole, off the tee you lay up at a ravine for an uphill right dogleg to the fairway and green. Luckily my ball was at the end where there was a small space to see through. It would be nice if the wild growth was trimmed such that you could get a clear view of where you are hitting to.
Why don't golfers fix/fill their divots and ball marks, especially on the green!
Great course
Had slow two players ahead of us: held us up at every hole after 8: once they said there were slow players ahead of them; did not see any plates ahead of them; hope people will have some golf atticate
Greens are in bad condition
Courses is nice minus the greens, they have a lot of dead spots on all the greens
Great holes, by tough!
This course was in excellent shape and has a wonderful mix of holes. But you better hit it straight! For the average golfer, this course will eat you up. Even single digit handicap players will probably go through a sleeve of balls. For example, on one of the holes on the back nine, I hit a drive a foot off the fairway and lost it in the thick clover! Hmmm? I feel that if the rough and surrounding long fescues were cut down, playing the course would be more enjoyable. As I said earlier, this is an excellent course, but I think it could be groomed to be a little more player friendly.
Hidden Gem
Did not know Otter Creek existed until 2 days before we played there. This is a course that lives up to its accolades. Loved every moment except for the 20 minute downpour on the 12th. My only "complaint" is that Otter Creek is 2 and a half hours or so from my house. This is a course I could play everyday. We get to play a lot of great courses in Michigan including some in northern Michigan and Otter Creek is as good as any we play. In fact, give me the choice to play Otter Creek or infamous Arcadia Bluffs and I will choose Otter Creek without hesitation.
Otter Creek
This a very good and challenging golf course with a wide variety of tee boxes to choose from. My only criticism would be the condition of the sand traps. Many of them were not in very good condition. They needed to be worked up and raked,. I realize replacing the sand is expensive but I think the time is coming very soon. I have played courses in which the waste traps are in better shape. Otherwise the course was very enjoyable and the staff very friendly. I will definitely return for another game.
Great Gals Golf Outing
Our foursome of ladies that play in a ladies league in London chose Otter Creek this week while our usual course hosted a tournament. Two were first time visitors to Otter Creek. The course was in great shape and we enjoyed our round. We had planned to eat in the clubhouse after the round but it was closed as the course was not too busy. The weather was hot but a nice breeze kept us going. It is definitely worth the drive from London to experience Otter Creek. It has a great practice area as well to allow you to warm up before your round. Thanks for a great afternoon. We will be back.
Great Day for Golf
We play this course fairly often and certainly were not disappointed with the condition of the course, the facilities and staff. The only negative today was that we came to a virtual stand still on the 8th tee and it was extremely slow from then on. It appeared to be due to a foursome two holes ahead of us that backed up the whole course. This was very unusual as normally the pace of play is very good. Did not see a Marshall on the back nine after seeing him twice on the front.
Golden
Picturesque, great shape! A true hiddden gem. Except for a slow couple who apparently weren't to sure of etiquette it took a while before I was able to
Play through. Other than that a real nice experience. Will definitely go back!
Worth the drive to Otterville
Otter Creek is in tremendous shape. Very nice course layout that will challenge your game. Some beautiful elevated tee shots on holes 1, 5, 7, 8, 13 and 18. Walking away with a par on the 9th hole is a great feeling. Greens are large so try and get it close on your approach to avoid the dreaded 3 putt. After your round you can enjoy a drink on the clubhouse patio and enjoy the view as you watch the golfers finish off their rounds on the 18th hole.
PGA
Definitely a high end course for a great value. Play the proper tees and you will have fun. Very scenic course and each hole is unique.
Sitting on the patio after watching people play up 18 is the perfect way to top off the round..great food!!
