Cherry Downs Golf and Country Club

The course is in great condition especially their greens are very challenging. My only complaint is their power carts are old and the break does work very well. Club Link should seriously consider to replace them otherwise it's quite dangerous to drive around the course when it's wet and the road is slippery.

Super-easy check in with very friendly, informative pro shop attendant. Great practice range, very nice practice green that also matches the pace and undulations of the greens.

Was able to get out early and really, really enjoyed the challenge of holes 3 through 5.

Although not super long on paper; this course plays much longer than the yardage states.

Conditioning is real good for the most part. The best treat of the day by far was putting the greens at Cherry Downs. Even in the rain; they were putting true and were rolling real nice.

Despite the weather I thoroughly enjoyed my round at Cherry Downs and cannot wait to get back there.

Great track but painfully slow to play this afternoon. Two groups waiting to tee off on many holes.

played this course many a time over the yrs.like playing there, greens were quick not as fast as I've seen them before, the tee boxes were chewed up tho, and they need to start reminding people to repair their ball marks as they leave little pot marks overall tho course was very playable

Got a Hot Deal special (18 holes and cart for $62.50 all-in). Should also mention that the practice facilities are included. Were greeted by friendly Pro-Shop and starter staff, and had the pleasure of being kept hydrated by some lovely on-course and club house servers.

Parts of the course (tee blocks) had been recently aerated, and a couple of the greens appeared to have some top dressing done, but all in all the course was in good shape.

Had a very enjoyable day, at a quite challenging course, and will definitely be back again.

Cherry downs was a nice course to play. Very walkable. The layout is pretty good. All par 3's on the front 9 are uphill. The driving range was mats only.

Played this course when it was private, prior to ClubLink acquiring. It has withstood the test of time & the elements. Matured magnificently. The best greens that I have putted on. Lightning quick. Keep the ball below the hole. It was a beast then & a monster now. I'll be back!

Played this course for the first time. It is most suited for the better than average golfer as hazards are in abundance. This course requires a golfer to choose shots and then execute to avoid trouble. Fairways are in good shape. Greens are lightning fast and difficult to hold.

Nice enough course with some challenging holes. Greens were not very quick the day we played but they are hard to read. Many tee boxes close to tees for other holes so it was rather noisy on tee shots. Conditions were a little dry off the fairways and the tee boxes were rock hard - lack of rain in this area was evident.

Possibly the best course in Durham region. Super fast greens and picturesque holes make this course a must to play. Great price using golf now.

The greens this year have lived up to their previous reputation of lightening fast. The course was very dry and firm. This made playing from the rough a little easier than would be had in spring conditions. Pace of play had us finishing our round in 4 hours, and not feeling the least bit rushed. Clubhouse is pretty dated and need a major overhaul. This is probably the reason club link has put this in their public rotation. Food and drinks are a little pricey and the food quality is average, but this would not be enough reason to stay away as the course is the star attraction.

First for the good. The course is in excellent shape. The layout is unique and challenging. My cart's batter died after we teed off on the second hole and the staff had a replacement to us in no time. We were able to hold our place. Bunkers are full of nice fine sand.

The not so good. No rangers to be seen till the 17th hole. Pace of play was 445 min, which is too slow.

A lot of the golfers playing at this course are rude and show no consideration for fellow golfers. All the greens are very close to the tee boxes for the following hole. At the 14th I lost it and yelled at the group behind me to shut up as we can't hear our self think as they were making so much noise on the green. When I told the staff after the round, they said I was not the first to complain.

Cherry Downs is just a great course. Impeccable greenskeeping and a challenging layout. It always was private until recently and the opportunity to play it often is appreciated. The clubhouse is nice but a bit retro - but that's probably why it's available to the public.

Course was in good shape and well looked after by staff. Greens are fast and hard to hold. Fellow players were very helpful as this was my first time playing this course. A heart day

Very nice afternoon, all conditions were great, fun layout and many different shot selection.

A definite must play for any serious golfer. Challenging course with excellent conditions. Great sand (if you find yourself in a trap).

Not the longest course out there but tough regardless as the greens will test you for sure!

Driver is not needed on every hole and positioning off the tee is crucial.
