So Much Fun
Cherry Downs is just a great course. Impeccable greenskeeping and a challenging layout. It always was private until recently and the opportunity to play it often is appreciated. The clubhouse is nice but a bit retro - but that's probably why it's available to the public.
Good day for golf
Course was in good shape and well looked after by staff. Greens are fast and hard to hold. Fellow players were very helpful as this was my first time playing this course. A heart day
Very Nice Spring Round
Very nice afternoon, all conditions were great, fun layout and many different shot selection.
Excellent course and conditions
A definite must play for any serious golfer. Challenging course with excellent conditions. Great sand (if you find yourself in a trap).
Great test
Not the longest course out there but tough regardless as the greens will test you for sure!
Driver is not needed on every hole and positioning off the tee is crucial.
Must Play
Now available on golfnow and public play! A must play for all serious golfers who enjoy the challenge of fast greens. Summer conditions can make it the AGUSTA OF THE NORTH
Not fun
It was just an awful experience. Boy for a Club Links course, this has to rate with the worse course in the GTA ever! Save yourself some money and go somewhere else!
Challenging greens
the greens are extremely tough to read which makes an excellent challenge.

If you want a challenge this is it!
Playing from the whites gives you all the challenge you need on this course. Position is everything. From your approach angle to any hope to sink a putt. The slants and speed on the greens is the last line of defence for this golf club and will have you pulling out your hair. But in a fun way.

Cherry Downer
Played this Clublink course on a golfnow deal. Things started off a bit rocky when the starter bumped our tee time to squeeze in a member twosome and then proceeded to talk down to us about club rules etc. In a nutshell what we discover is the bunkers have no sand, circus greens, ridiculously par 3's and silly lay up holes. We were a threesome and all very good golfers so having a course that is basically a fairground ride was no fun at all - add that to a snooty club staff and its was a Cherry Downer. My question to Clublink is if you don't want Joe public any where near your course then why offer the tee times?
Thank you for your response and I do hope that you return several times to overcome the problems of your first visit. Cherry Downs has long been a private facility and we do cater to our remaining Members. This golf course has a history of challenging all skill levels including many Professional golf tournaments. It does have rolling topography and quick greens, which can be a challenge. We do hope to see you again.
Toughest track in Toronto
The golf course tee to green is very scenic and challenging. I'd say in difficulty it's 8/10. As far as the greens go, they are another story. They are difficulty 12/10... Super fast, big slopes, and subtle breaks. 5 putts are very possible.

Pretty good course to experience
Staff were polite and friendly. Marshal did really nice job getting the people moving. He also gave us (all first timers) good tips along the way. Green is fast and a lot of slopes, some were quite tricky to read. Well maintained course and it was a nice experience.

Challenging course that will require every in in the bag. Course management is a must. Greens were dry and quick but overall is a great course.

Well manicured course
Kind of surprised how many ball marks on each green were left NOT repaired for a predominantly private club.
It seems there is a certain predominate minority race that plays that feels entitled is maybe uneducated on the etiquette of the game.
Played from the tips, very windy, and challenging. Lots of fun, smooth , well maintained fast greens, with many slopes. Be aware of where you leave your approach shots as above the hole here, you can easily roll well past hole. Enjoy
Thank you for your positive response to course conditioning and we do try to offer a unique putting surface at Cherry Downs. Unfortunately, we count on our customer to repair their own ball mark (plus one other), but sometimes pace of play becomes a priority to the group when being pushed.

Nice Course, a few holes on the front 9 can cause a pile up.

Cherry Downs
Very nice scenic course that has lots of twists and turns. Greens are a bit too quick and make putting an difficulty. Carts need to be upgraded and the proshop and club house need some work too. Over all a very nice course would play again just need to us a local driving range where you can warm up with your driver.
You need more putt practice.
Cherry down is one of the typical clublink golf courses.
well maintained golf course, friendly staff, nice layout.
But this was also one of the most challenging course, too. Tight fairways make you focus on keep fairway and small, undulated greens make you easy 3 putt.
Most of greens are higher in the back, so always try to hit little shorter and do uphill putting.
This course is very walkable for me.
It was nice course and pleasant experience.
