About
Black Diamond Golf Club was carefully carved from the foothills and hardwood and pine forests of the Kawartha Oakridge Moraine. The natural landscape, which is covered in fescue, provides many challenges including several elevation changes and water hazards. The layout is unique in that the front nine is more of an open, links style with a double green and numerous pot bunkers, while the back nine has a more traditional North American character. Black Diamond Golf Club's back nine has a few tricky blind shots that present a formidable test for players of all skill levels. The golf course also has rolling fairways lined with trees, carefully sculpted mounding, and 70 strategically placed bunkers throughout.

Course layout
First of all three course is well layed out and enjoyable.
I do have a few things to mention.
There are 3 holes that have a straight 90° angle dogleg.
What would be good to have is a sign at the tee block telling you how far to drive the dogleg, twice today I drove it through the dogleg thinking I had enough club.
There was also a lot of ground under repair on the fairways and in the landing areas, doesn't take away from the course as you get free relief.
I like the course, would play it again but would also like to have yardage books made available (to purchase)
Excellent Course
Black Diamond is an excellent test of golf with the variation in holes and topography. It varies from long and fairly wide open to dogleg holes that are tight and require accuracy. Most if not all greens are elevated and guarded with bunkers. I found the greens fast, but true and tricky to read. It really helps to play with a member or someone who knows the course well as there are a number of holes where you are blind off the tee.
I normally walk most courses -- this one, I would definitely recommend renting a power cart as it is pretty hilly and the distance from green to tee boxes can be a fair hike on a number of holes.
Great course and friendly staff
My golf now booking somehow didn't process but the staff were very accommodating and managed to fit us. The course overall was in great shape and I will definitely be back again!
Nice Layout,But...
Greens in great shape, but lots of GUR in fairways.
Should make pin placements to suit forecast high winds.
Manager called me and said they were very sorry for what happened on June 4th. They said it was on their end that my tee time was cancelled and that they would like to make it up to me for the mistake.was very nice of them to call and apologize and make sure the customer was happy
Great course
Amazing course. Some really hard holes, some easy ones. I loved this course. First time I played. It was busy, but we never waited long on a tee. Moved well. I reccomend you give this course a try.

Booking tee time
Phone ahead before your tee time make sure they didn’t cancel it. I phoned to see if they had booked a fourth player with us and they said I had no time booked. I gave them my confirmation number and they said it was cancelled. I asked when, by who and what was the cancellation number. They could not tell me said the course was fully booked and I was out of luck. I golfed there for many years and was not treated good at all was told sorry have a good day and he hung up. Will never golf there again. Bad customer service

Unfortunate
Hoping this course can recover as years previous I always enjoyed it. We started and the first few holes were fine as usual. But as the round went on the bugs become horrific (3-4 tee shots were barely able to complete due to 100s of bugs swarming you) on top of that it seems some animals hhave completely chewed up multiple fairways making many shots/lies unplayable. I understand it's the beginning of the season, So I will check it out again mid june and hopefully see some good changes.

Always enjoyable
Black Diamond always delivers. Although the course isn't as perfect as it normally is (it's still early) it's a great round and bang for your buck. The Covid measures in place make you feel safe and clean. I highly recommended Black Diamond. Thank u and see u again soon
Great Course
We first saw this course from the Highway on the way to Toronto from Ottawa. When we finally decided to stop and play, we were not disappointed. Staff was very courteous and the facilities are very nice. Golf course was in excellent condition and was challenging but fair. My wife and I teamed up with a single on the second hole and we enjoyed one of the best days on the course ever. It is now on our list of yearly destinations. Love this course.
