About
Black Diamond Golf Club was carefully carved from the foothills and hardwood and pine forests of the Kawartha Oakridge Moraine. The natural landscape, which is covered in fescue, provides many challenges including several elevation changes and water hazards. The layout is unique in that the front nine is more of an open, links style with a double green and numerous pot bunkers, while the back nine has a more traditional North American character. Black Diamond Golf Club's back nine has a few tricky blind shots that present a formidable test for players of all skill levels. The golf course also has rolling fairways lined with trees, carefully sculpted mounding, and 70 strategically placed bunkers throughout.

Black .diamond is always in good condition, You can tell how hard the greens keepers work.
For a long course and busy, we played in under four hours.

Hands down the most beautiful course I have ever golfed. More difficult than most courses I have golfed and has exceptionally fast greens. That being said, I cannot wait to golf this course again.

Good day at the Diamond!
We've had so much rain lately, we were worried about soggy conditions. Turned out to be much ado about nothing, the course obviously drains very well. We never encountered a plugged ball or anything of the sort. Lots of roll on drives, etc. Conditions were very good compared to what we've dealt with elsewhere.
We played with a couple of good guys, and had a great day!

Worth the drive!
I play here approx. 6 times a year with friends from Toronto and the Pontypool area. I've played here since the second week the course opened and have never been disappointed with Black Diamond or it's staff.

Well Worth It
Course survived the winter really well. Course was in great shape compared to others in the area after a very wet spring. Greens were in excellent shape and had been aerated already this season.

Golf Now WAKEUP
I like everything about the course except for their ATTITUDE that because we bought green fees through Golf Now, we are second class, back of the row golfers.
We were relegated to only start playing on our "actual" tee time because we purchased through Golf Now. We arrived early but had to sit in our carts even though no other groups were starting. The first hole had a lot of empty fairway while we waited to our "allotted" time. I have been with Golf Now for over 3 years and use it frequently. No other course has done this, as they allow you to go if there are gaps in players starting.

Must Play Course
Course is in great shape considering the constant rain we've been having, and 1 hole was a temp green which was the only disappointing thing about Black Diamond.

WORST COURSE CONDITIONS WE PLAY
I KNOW IT IS EARLY MAY BUT OUR FOURSOME DID NOT EXPECT THE GOLF COURSE TO BE THIS BAD. THE TEE BOXES FAIRWAYS & GREENS HAD SUFFERED BADLY OVER THE WINTER. IT WAS HARD TO FIND ANY GREEN GRASS TO HIT THE BALL OFF OF. ON THE PLUS SIDE THE COURSE WAS VERY DRY DESPITE ALL THE RECENT RAIN IN THE AREA. THE STAFF IN THE RESTAURANT WERE ILL PREPARED FOR LUNCH. WE ORDERED 2 SAUSAGES ON A BUN,AS THEY HAD RUN OUT OF HOT DOGS.WE HAD TO ASK FOR THE CONDIMENTS & EVEN FOR A NAPKIN. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Great views
Awesome staff, great scenery, well groomed.
I’m a regular golfer at 2 other courses and this is by far my favourite course. Challenging and beautiful. Perfect for any level golfer.
Great course, customer service need work.
Great course always a pleasure to play, its been in tip top condition over the past few years even through harsh weather. However staff has never seems to return emails and calls, service carts have been hard to come by throughout the course sometimes non existent even on a Saturday afternoon.
Excellent course for the money
This is an excellent course for the money and they offer great deals on Golf Now and on their own website.
Fabulous Facility and course
I've been a member now for 2 years and every time I bring someone from out of town they are blown away by the course. I've played numerous high end private and public courses throughout the GTA and this ranks right up there with the best of them.
