Black Diamond Golf Club
About
Black Diamond Golf Club was carefully carved from the foothills and hardwood and pine forests of the Kawartha Oakridge Moraine. The natural landscape, which is covered in fescue, provides many challenges including several elevation changes and water hazards. The layout is unique in that the front nine is more of an open, links style with a double green and numerous pot bunkers, while the back nine has a more traditional North American character. Black Diamond Golf Club's back nine has a few tricky blind shots that present a formidable test for players of all skill levels. The golf course also has rolling fairways lined with trees, carefully sculpted mounding, and 70 strategically placed bunkers throughout.

Amazing Course
First time playing and will definitely place it in my top 5 courses within an hours drive. Greens were challenging which I like as putting is my strong suit. Course was immaculate, beverage cart was seen 3-4 times, those in the pro-shop nice and helpful. Felt like a challenge so shot from the diamond 7000 total yard tees, just a few strokes shy of breaking 100. Maybe next time :-)
Wasn't that busy. Bunch of twosome going in front of our twosome. 3.5 hour played
Truly one of Ontarios best courses and challanging as well
Great course. Beautiful scenery. Only downfall was the course layout changes have not been updated for Garmin golf watches.
Black diamond was a jewel
I drove in from Barrie to play with an old friend and the 2 hour drive was worth it. We got a great deal through Golf now and were pleasantly surprised to find the course was in great shape and not over booked.
Overall the course had some challenges but also provided wide fairways if you missed off the tees. Hilly and some blind doglegs made you think but we loved the afternoon.
We will be back.
Gorgeous layout
This course had many steep and rolling hills. Fairways were well kept and greens were mint. Many hazards and tough teeboxes I also got a great deal with cart through hotdeals
Greens were fuzzy and pace of play was a tad slow
Decent track, but we were a twosome stuck behind a bunch of other twosomes, so it took over 4 1/2 hours to get around.
Great course
Usually don’t have to wait to tee-off. I like how they changed up the course so the back 9 is not all in the woods like it was before.
Love this course
Nice long course with great condition an scenery on every hole. Really long course suitable for everyone an female golfers. Pretty much had the course to ourselves. On a Monday afternoon
Fun Course
I enjoy playing this course try to play maybe 5 times a year even considering a membership in the future. The course for this time of year was in okay shape greens were very fussy and slow not near as good as they have been in the past.
Great day
The day was perfect, the course in great shape and Neil and the rest of the staff couldnt have been friendlier. Pace was a little slow, but everyone was in a good mood, so it didn't matter.
elevatioj changes
This course had elevation changes all over, tee shots are at a premium otherwise you are looking at a wall of 60 foot pine trees for your approach and that rarely ends well
The course was in great shape, the only issue I had was they were watering the greens between groups, the greens went from quick to slow from hole to hole depending on whether they had turned the water on or not, drastic change in speed,
Put timers on boys and water at night, the greens are hard enough without you changing the speeds and making us stand in the fairway waiting for the water to get turned off
Hook up your watch to the internet laptop. Your watch same as mine should update. I got them to change the course around at Garmin with the updates. I have barn in S2
